Two evenings ago, Huw Stephens of BBC Radio One debuted a brand new track from none other than Sir Tom Jones, the legendary 71-year-old crooner. The track in question is a cover of Howlin' Wolf's "Evil" and was put together with the helping hands of the man of the hour, Jack White . It will be released as part of Third Man Records' Blue Series and on the 5th of March he'll release this along with a new recording of his 2002 track "Jezebel", both with production credits going to White. In case you didn't know, Third Man Records entrepreneur Jack White is continuing his dizzyingly unpredictable collaborations by teaming up with that wonderful Welsh heartthrob (what?) Tom Jones for a 73 single, due March 5th. As Consequence of Sound points outs, the lead track, "Evil" got a play on BBC6 Music yesterday, and there's a stream below for your listening pleasure. As previously reported , 71-year-old professional crooner/knight, Sir Tom Jones , is the latest participant of Third Man Records' Blue Series. On March 5th, he'll release a two-song, Jack White-produced single, featuring a new rendition of "Jezebel" from his 2002 album Mr. Jones , along with a cover of Howlin' Wolf's "Evil" . Both tracks also feature White's Raconteurs bandmates Patrick Keeler and Jack Lawrence, as well as My Morning Jacket's Tom Jones. As Tom Jones International points out, Jones' version of "Evil" was premiered on BBC Radio yesterday, and you can stream it below.

Jack White and Tom Jones - hmm, that is unusual - will release a single through White's Third Man records this spring which features a cover of Howlin' Wolf's " Evil " and a reworked version of Jones' own "Jezebel" (had we known about this a little earlier, it totally could have cracked the 13 Best Jack White Collaborations list ). BBC Radio premiered "Evil" yesterday and it's available to stream at Consequence Of Sound . The "Evil" single is out 3/5 on Third Man Records .
