If you wish you had something to celebrate like the way cricket fans are celebrating, you could try Gordon's pages this morning: No more UK Oasis gigs after band pull out of fest Wow. Gordon is close to Oasis - or, rather, hangs around them a lot and often gets a mate to take a picture of him almost in focusing distance of Noel - so he really must know something to carry such a final headline. What do you know, Gordon? IF you were one of the lucky punters at V [...]

The debut by former American Idol contestant Michael Johns has more in common with James Morrison (who contibuted lyrics to the album) and Marc Broussard than it does with any other Idol castoffs. Hold Back My Heart is another example of why it's far better for good singers to lose the popular "reality" music show than to win. The album opens with the solidly sincere ballad "Heart On My Sleeve", but much more interesting are the retro soul [...]
James Morrison with his rendition of an MJ track

Welcome back, readers! In keeping with the Michael Jackson theme of the month, we've already paid homage to classics as " Human Nature " and " Beat It ". This week I chose one of my favorites of the many favorite MJ songs- "Man In The Mirror". Perhaps one of the most compassionate hits off of Bad , it was also #1 on iTunes just a little while ago, much to the surprise (and not surprise) of industry giants. Of all his best #1 singles, why this one? More like, why [...]
James Morrison annoyed everyone by singing 'Please Don't Stop the Rain' on Saturday on the Main Stage at Oxegen 2009, and his wishes were answered, as blue sky didn't appear til Sunday. Setlist: 'Please Don't Stop the Rain' The Only Night' 'Under The Influence' 'You Give Me Something' 'Broken Strings' 'If You Don't Wanna Love Me' 'Precious Love' 'Nothing Ever Hurt Like You' 'Call The Police'

Every so often an event comes along that is so powerful/epic/moving/tragic people never forget where they were when it happened/they heard. JFK's assassination is one. 9/11 is another. I have a feeling that news of Michael Jackson's death might be another for many. Nobody I can think of has affected as many people around the world. Over the past 2 weeks we have seen and heard a lot of tributes to MJ and today I wanted to give mine. I've gathered some of my favorite MJ remixes and covers here and will mix in a few memories of my own [...]

Michael Jackson was the best at what he did. His numbers don't lie, selling 211 million albums before he died. Michael Jackson's Legacy is the impitamy of what all artist want in their own career. What he did to obtain that was no easy task. Michael Jackson's albums always changed and never repeated. Every single he put out was vastly different and told a story, whether it was "Billie Jean" is not his kid to telling gangs to stop fighting in "Beat It." Who would of thought that singing about zombies would be one of the [...]

It's impossible to keep up with the countless tributes made to honor the late King of Pop, but here are a two that really caught my ear. I first spotted James Morrison's cover of MJ's classic (and one of my favorite songs altogether) "Man In The Mirror" on Perez Hilton, natch. James Morrison's voice is a blessing, but not even his sweet vocals do "Man In The Mirror" justice. Honestly, this is the kind of song that just can't be done any other way but Michael Jackson's way. Listen to James Morrison's rendition of "Man In The [...]

I don't know if this was recorded after MJ's death or before but its truly is a beautiful cover. I love James' voice I think it is unique and wonderful. He most certainly did this song justice. Listen: "Man In the Mirror" MJ really have alot of great songs but I never becames serious fan because so many people liked him so I was ehh... But he and other people wrote [...]

I'm making this short this morning. I have to go grocery shopping , make a run to Target and a trip to the gym before cleaning up the house. Yesterday we went to a nearby outlet mall because the girlfriend had a dress to return, and during the 45 minutes drive, James Morrison came up on my iPod and his easy, blue-eyed soul once again made me smile. I just got his new(ish) album this past week when it was on sale through Amazon, and it's surprising how a great voice [...]

James Morrison We went to see Girls Aloud last week - hooray! - and were struck by how great their cover of James Morrison 's 'Broken Strings' sounded. Duly-inspired, we sat down for a quick chat with Mr Morrison ahead of his latest US single release, ' Precious Love ', which has just gone to radio 'over the pond'. Morrison also recently completed a successful stateside tour with the lovely Adele , so with all these pop ladies knocking on his door you won't be surprised to hear [...]
'Broken Strings' singer James Morrison (yes, I know he has other songs) will play Dublin's O2 on 6th of December 2009. Support is from OneRepublic, so fans of both acts should really enjoy the show. Tickets aren't too overpriced at €39.20 and €49.20. They go on sale this Friday at 9. See, told you he had other songs:

Infelizmente.
