Gorillaz have released their new single 'DoYaThing' as a free download. The track is a collaboration with OutKast's Andre 3000 and LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy. So Converse decided to take 3 artists (who seeming have nothing in common) and link them up on one song. A successful idea which has lead to a very successful track and now one successful video featuring some incredible animation. After you watch the video, you can scoop up the track for free on the Converse web site .

Gorillaz have released a new CG animated video to go along with their Converse-curated collaboration, "DoYaThing." The video is pretty much an average morning for the animated band's front man 2D. Every inch of this video has hidden visual gems that reference the band's bizarre reality. It also features a masked man popping up in random areas meant to resemble Andre 3000. As part of Converse newest signees, these 3 artists collab together and drop this video. Andre Benjamin has been rapping more lately with the features he has been on over the past few months. It is hard to get him to drop anything as it is. Maybe he is preparing to drop an album . Who knows?

Expect the gorillaz to be weird right? Weird and awesome, on this edish we get a little James Murphy sprinkled in and a very fair amount of 3 Stacks. (especially considering what he's been into lately). He sounds good on this one though. The video is great too. It's a part of some Converse thing and they've released some sneakers too. Here is the official video for 'DoYaThing' the collaboration of Gorillaz/Andre 3000/James Murphy. The video was directed by Jamie Hewellet and shows off some classic Gorillaz animation mixed with some real life footage. Gorillaz always bring out the kid in you with their fun to watch videos.

Okay, the single was fantastic , but I have to take my hat off to the visual representation of the "DoYaThing" that has been unveiled this morning. Animated with brilliant detail, the video depicts 2D and Murdoc of Gorillaz meeting up with Andre 3000 and James Murphy after a night of partying at their house. Swept away by whimsical creativity, this might just be my favorite video of 2012 so far. Well done, Converse!

They've hooked up to produce a track for Converse -  for some reason one of very few brands that it seems perfectably for musicians to cosy up to.
