Lower Dens aus Baltimore kündigen auf Mai ihr zweites Album "Nootropics" an. Die Vorfreude bleibt relativ verhalten, zu blutleer kommt die Vorab-Single daher. Im Sommer 2010 veröffentlichten Lower Dens ein Debüt-Album, das von uns sogleich zur Platte der Woche erkoren wurde. Begleitet von ihren Bandkollegen strolchte Jana Hunter auf "Twin-Hand Movement" seltsam zielstrebig durch hypnotische Landschaften, die am Wegrand viel zu bieten hatten. Of all the bands playing at Chaos in Tejas , this is one that I recommend for pretty much everyone, not just those that are looking for punk rock goodness. No nic, w każdym razie przyszliśmy tam i po wymianie uprzejmości ze zluzowaną jak zawsze ochroną mieliśmy wchodzić, a tu pojawia się Jana Hunter i chce ognia, więc co było robić - dałem i sam wyciągnąłem pogniecionego marlbora. I think I listened to Bill Fox's two reissued albums - Shelter from the Smoke and Transit Byzantium - more than anything else.
