New Swedish artist Jane Doe has just revealed this rather intriguing clip by way of an introduction. Whether 'Part One' is an excerpt from the inevitable debut single or merely incidental music we've still to fathom, but from the sounds of things we can expect sky scraping levels of euphoric Euro-pop. Who is actually behind Jane Doe is also a mystery. All we know is that she's worked with some influential Swedish producers and songwriters. Helpful? Not particularly. But doubtless there'll be more news soon. For now, enjoy the 90 second teaser above.

Biography Formed: 1990 in Boston, MA Genre : Rock Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s The punk metal act Converge were formed in the winter of 1990-1991, and after several singles, compilation appearances, and the needful growing pains, they released their rudimentary full-length effort, Halo in a Haystack, in 1994. The Boston-based quartet was initially comprised of melodist/visual artist Jacob Bannon, guitarist Kurt Ballou, bassist Jeff Feinburg, and drummer Damon Bellorado, through second guitarist Aaron Dalbec [...]
Chris Evans, keyboardist for The Sleeping , recently posted his take on Converge ’s Jane Doe . "This was all played in a few live takes," Evans said. "No midi programming at all just me and my fat little fingers."
Converge All We Love We Leave Behind Epitaph Records Late Summer 2012 What they’re saying: "Painfully little", is the honest answer. Earlier this month, Decibel magazine confirmed the album's title as All We Love we Leave Behind , but other than that, the only firm comment we have from the band comes [...]

It was worth the wait. Nearly three months after getting a 1-minute preview on Adrian Lux's Soundcloud , his 'Jane Doe' remix has finally been released. Lux is a favorite around these parts. His indie/electronica productions stray far away from the mainstream anthems that clog speakers and websites around the globe. He is a master of indie house and his latest Rebecca & Fiona remix proves it. The retro sound is remarkable and, possibly, an homage to Eric Prydz's ' Circles ' remix. Lux [...]

Rebecca & Fiona are dance hall queens in their native Stockholm. Taking clubs by storm both as musicians and DJ's, the ladies have created quite the solid following in Scandinavia and neighboring Europe, and have even opened for fellow Swede, Robyn. With heavy bass and oozing synth, Rebecca & Fiona create a pulsing sound perfect for, you guessed it, the dance floor. Their album, I Love You Man , is available now via Universal Music Sweden.

Rebecca & Fiona - If She Was Away [...]
Adrian Lux wants you to know his name before 2011 is over. He has given us ambient and progressive bombs in the past , but, this fall, it seems like his studio time is at an all-time high . This isn't some guy Axwell remixed. He is the headliner. Along with his much anticipated remix of Rebecca & Fiona's 'Jane Doe,' this remix will be one of his aces-up-his-sleeve going into the winter. This once dub-rock song [...]

Recently, Adrian Lux has been described as a 'rising Swedish producer.' Funny thing is, he's been rising for years , not just since 2011. Starting the year off with his beautiful remix of Rebecca & Fiona's ' Bullets ,' anlong with DJ/producer Nause , Lux's work has stood strong along side his Swedish countrymen, who have dominated the house music landscape. Rebecca & Fiona, also of Sweden, have ascended through their country's alternative music scene. Their work in 2011 has been right up there with Swedish vocalist like Robyn or Tove [...]

. . . It’s impossible to approach Converge’s Jane Doe without baggage. It was Terrorizer ’s album of the year in 2001. Decibel inducted it into the Hall of Fame and later named it album of the decade. Sputnikmusic also named it best album of the decade. The problem with accolades is that new listeners are told what to expect before they press play. They are expecting a life-changing experience, an epiphany. It’s not much different than what new listeners of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band , [...]
When I first heard Converge's touted masterpiece "Jane Doe" nearly 9 years ago, I didn't really appreciate it much. Sure, I dug a few songs off it (particularly "Homewrecker"), but the lyrics and the metal influences were lost on me. Recently I've given it another spin... and holy fuck. There are few bands that can blend thrashy, progressive metal with the straight up aggressiveness and
OF COURSE YA DO! So thank the anonymous reader who sent us a link to the below vid. Yes, it would be way cooler if this were being played by an actual orchestra and wasn't just a synth-simulation, but it's still pretty frickin' amazing that someone took the time to do this... and he did [...]

Linkin Park are the biggest selling band of this decade, nay, century. That's a statement that really hurts, isn't it. They've sold more records than Metallica, Iron Maiden or even The Beatles. Yes, feel free to weep because there doesn't seem like much to celebrate. Right? WRONG! There really have been some amazing bands, albums and [...]
