My introduction to Vancouver's Japandroids was rather unconventional. You see, I liked this bb who was really into music, so I downloaded "Post-Nothing" to impress him. And I guess it worked, because he really wanted to hold hands afterwards. Anyways, it turns out that the bb actually did me a huge favor, as Japandroids have since become one of my favorite local acts. Japandroids did big things in 2012, and not just by Canadian music standards. They released their second studio album, "Celebration Rock", which received an 8.8 from Pitchfork, and landed on the Billboard 200 [...]

Wow the day keeps getting better! Maybe it is kind of old news but Japandroids just dropped their new single. The House That Heaven Built is taken from Celebration Rock which drops on June 5th. I am loving this song, it has that loud fun rocking tune. A great rock sing along chorus and moshing tune. Have a listen.
