Justin Timberlake made his Saturday Night Live return last night, hosting for the 5th time while taking the stage during intervals of the show to perform a few of his songs. Backed by The Tennessee Kids, JT went ahead and performed 'Suit & Tie' and 'Mirrors'. Jay-Z also popped in for a short while to give his verse as well. Justin Timberlake and Saturday Night Live have a long history, and when he stopped by to host and perform on SNL tonight, you knew he'd go all out. Justin brought a big band with him (the Tennessee Kids) and a few well-practiced dancers, but of course Jay-Z had to show up for his verse, and without fail, an enthusiastic Hov showed up. It's always interesting when artists give us the opportunity look into their private lives, especially when those artists lead an especially guarded life. Last night, HBO premiered Beyoncé 's new documentary, Life Is But A Dream , and Bey shared some incredibly personal things, including the miscarriage, her pregnancy, and her relationship with Jay-Z . Justin Timberlake teased us with the slick lyrical video for his comeback single "Suit & Tie", but this new official video for the song lives up to the hype. Glitz, glamour, lasers, and tuxedos, the David Fincher -directed clip is all about showing off JT and best bud Jay-Z in impeccable style with fine cigars and quality liquor never far from hand. Check out the black-and-white affair above. JT's new album The 20/20 Experience is out on March 19th.

The two videos I liked best this week are about reintroducing superstars: One who's been away for a while, one who's barely taken enough time off for anyone to notice it's been a year since he dropped an album. And both are heavy on old-school music-video values: Expert rhythmic editing, implied sex, the goofily in-charge charisma of their two leads. One goes self-effacing and the other goes over-the-top slick, but they still scratch the same itches. And it's no surprise that their directors are guys who have been making music videos for long enough to remember how it looked when [...]

It's easy to forget that David Fincher, one of this generations most endearing filmmakers, got his start directing commercials and music videos, so this promo for Justin Timberlake's comeback single "Suit & Tie" is a return to roots for him. Fincher plays his best hand here with a simple, stylish video that showcases Jay-Z and Timberlake's magnetic swagger, while wowing us with some truly stunning black-and-white cinematography.

Justin Timberlake already released a lyric video for "Suit & Tie", but now he has released a full official one. It's a classy one, dressed in black and white, featuring all kinds of footage. You see him performing, practicing, recording, and hanging with Jay-Z. I liked the video a lot. David Fincher directed it, so that explains why it's so good. Watch it below.

Justin Timberlake teamed back up with his Social Network director David Fincher to make the clip for his comeback single "Suit and Tie," and you can check it out now. Obviously, it's awesome: Timberlake's taste for the comedic and Fincher's knack for dramatic, film-noir imagery are meant for each other.
