I f anyone asked me who favorite rappers were, after 2Pac, Biggie, and Jay-Z I would quickly say J. Cole, amongst a couple others.  He is one of those guys I really want to see make it.  He is one of the few who, in my opinion, have GREAT music.  With that said, I was PRESSED to find out his video for his first official single Who Dat will be premiering Monday, June 21st. You probably heard of Miguel through U-N-I . If you don't know who J. Cole is , smack yourself. In an effort to mend the lines of Hip-Hop and R&B without pasting them with syrup, "All I Want Is You" was born and the video soon followed. Me personally? I'd rather spin "Who Dat" a few more times after watching but with Salaam Remi on the track, this does make for a smooth alternative.

I feel like this joint dropped forever ago! We finally get the visuals from Miguel featuring the one and only J. Cole. Rising Jive artist Miguel previously wrote songs for Usher and Mary J. Blige, and the sensitive singer is finally ready to step in the spotlight himself. The 22-year old is prepping the release of his debut album and getting hip-hop and soul fans excited with the premiere of his sultry music video "All I Want Is You." The track features J.Cole (another Jive artist—how convenient!) and was produced by Salaam Remi, who previously helped produce hits for Amy Winehouse and Nas. There's just something about this song. It's one of my most played recently songs and it's got me convinced that Miguel is going to come with some greatness (even though I've only ever heard 4 or 5 songs). Visit the blog entry to see the video.] Suuuuuuupppperrrr late pass on this one (partially because this fool neglected to tell me when he finished editing the video...but that's neither hither nor tither), but here's footage of Roc Nation artist J. Cole performing at The Loft in Atlanta a few weeks ago. Filmed and edited by good buddy Patrick for Deli Fresh (check his YouTube channel here ). Definitely a dope performance and some equally dope footy to go along with it.

Here's an interview with J.Cole from the Levi's/ Fader Fort at SXSW. He gets stumped by a question about Austin's weirdness, talks about his new found love for Free Energy (surprising), and some other stuff. I don't usually post interviews, but I don't know much about the Roc Nation rookie so I'm trying to get more familiar before his inevitable take-off.

We like quality footage. We also like J. Cole , the "lil broke nigga from the Ville." Both are reasons why we post this footage of Jay and his protege J. performing "A Star Is Born" during The BP3 tour's stop in Greensboro, NC. The only thing essential that's missing is the crowd noise because there's nothing like a packed arena hand-clapping in unison during that chorus. Spotted: Y2K
