Off of J Dilla 's Donuts  "Lightworks" is a futuristic track and its video interpretation is treated in the same way. James McMillan 's submission to Stones Throw's video contest doesn't flirt with the familiar live-action shenanigans either. Instead, we're prescribed a cool, clean dose of cartoon animation which adds to the track's light, otherworldly atmosphe re. Last Donut of the Night from Tuomas Vauhkonen on Vimeo . This is a pretty awesome fan-made video from Finland for a cut off Donuts . Short and weird, just the way I like it.

Tuomas Vauhkonen and Jeremias Nieminen have taken on J Dilla's classic jam "Last Donut of the Night" and made an unofficial video for it. The video was submitted to Stones Throw, which is having an ongoing video competition, which closes in July. What do you think of their visual interpretation of this song?

Last Donut of the Night from Tuomas Vauhkonen on Vimeo . Stones Throw held a contest where people could pick any track from the label's catalog and make their own video edit to go along with it.  Tuomas Vauhkonen and Jeremias Nieminen produced this visual for Dilla's Last Donut of the Night , one of my all-time favorite recordings, from the late producer's widely celebrated, classic 2006 album Donuts .

J Dilla , released Donuts in '06 and three days later was gone. Hip-hop producer, vibe creator, smooth operator, Dilla, displayed his skills on "Last Donut of the Night", sampling The Moments and Gene Chandler's " Rainbow '65 ". This video, part of Stones Throw 's video contest , works on so many levels. What's synonymous with the police? Donuts. What's synonymous with J Dilla? Donuts. The video starts off with a splash. Which led to Tuomas Vauhkonen and Jeremias Nieminen delivering a dope visual rendition of J Dilla's classic track "Last Donut of the Night". Check It Out And Enjoy.
