"Nas told me the world is yours, best believe I'm gone get what's mine." This is the kind of Nas advice we can get behind. Phil Adé comes with something new with a jarring set of visuals (and lyrics) for cut "Nas Told Me," off the underrated DC cat's upcoming R.O.S.E. (Result Of Society’s Evils) project.

Here on this website, we do our best to present a lifestyle at Your Strongest Ally . Whether it be in music, sports, fashion , or anything else, if its dope we will support it. Dareales Clothing is no different. I was able to catch up with the creator of the fashion line while he was out in Sacramento conducting business to find out more about not only him, but his clothing. Q: Tell us something about yourself. Where do you currently live? Your influences with your clothing line? Interests [...]
Cheech & Chong. Starsky & Hutch. Sonny & Cher. All reputable duos, however some would say that they do not compare to the likes of Japandroids. Hailing from Canada and forming in 2006, the two-man team gained notability upon the release of their debut album, Post-Nothing, which garnered a lot of attention from critics. Their acclaimed albums and intensely energetic live performances are what land these guys on such festival line-ups as St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival. Speaking of which, Japandroids will be gracing us with their presence on the 3rd of February to bring Australia what it needs. [...]

On Friday, an asteroid struck Stereogum's bank of computer servers, or something, and we were out of commission for the day. This was, of course, tragic, since it sent all of you home for the weekend without a single blog post with 20 minutes or so of very good music videos. But if you made it through that horrific weekend, here's the better-late-than-never list, with a few gems that arrived during the holiday publishing break. Read More...
Released in advance of his Good Kid, m.A.A.d. City album, Kendrick Lamar's " Backseat Freestyle " felt like an out-of-nowhere burst of snarling rap virtuosity, an uncharacteristically vengeful vent session for the usually thoughtful rapper. On the album, it took on new resonance: There, it was a teenage Kendrick impressing his friends by tough-talking in the back of the ride. And now, with the song's video, directors JeromeD , Dave Free, and Kendrick himself imagine it as a combination between the two, filming Kendrick skulking through Compton and Paris and including cameos from [...]
Art that’s for, by and on the internet requires a lot of sharing. Should people still get upset when their work is imitated or duplicated? People have said to me like, “That’s whack, people didn’t consult with you, or give you any credit.” Well why would they? Do we do that ourselves? The internet’s a free base to do whatever you want with it. It’s a democratic place. All those images I’m using are like, referencing things and stolen. These underground videos are on the same platform as a mainstream video. Everything’s on YouTube, on [...]

Jerome LOL , one half of the LOL Boys who actually went their separate ways recently, has done some ridiculous work on Rihanna's recent single Diamonds . He's managed to take a track that does very little for itself to begin with, and turned it into something we're sure to have on repeat for awhile. His use of looping Rihanna's 'shine bright like a diamond' vocal while distorting the pitch and layering it over a delicate but incredibly danceable beat, works unbelievably well. Simple and crisp drum kicks, piano keys, and bass lines form a chorus in [...]

It was a bit of a shocker for LOL Boys to announce their indefinite "hiatus," but it seems like great productions can still be made from one half of the whole. Jerome LOL puts a nice spin on Rihanna's latest single "Diamond" with LOL's signature sound.

The Eyes in The Heat formed in 2009: two musicians from London whose talents and diverse backgrounds came together to form something dark and sonorous. Their style combines powerful, melodic vocals; jagged guitar noise; and sparse, hard-hitting, programmed beats – a kind of avant-garde pop, with elements of future blues, and hints of movie soundtracks. [...]
Jérôme Echenoz - Que vais-je en faire ? >This French man is, how do you say, très cool
