Mike Skinner? The bloke who used to be The Streets. Now working with Rob Harvey of The Music. Together they are The D.O.T. Their new single How We All Lie came out this month. The original's a pretty piece of indie pop but nothing more. But this official remix by Jett (previously here ) is another thing entirely. Turns the indie into a rich, throbbing house track. Here's something straddling that under-used techno vs garage frontier from Jet t. Not a normal pairing but does it well to deliver a fine and moody tune. Listen only. This takes garage type wailing and sets it against analogue techno synths for a dark back room feel. The warmth of those analogue synsths is what makes this track really fly.
