This weeks cutie is a masterpiece. It was made by Virgilio Villoresi , who also directed the video of Riva Starr's Absence . As Virgillio says: - I used a pre-cinema technique called ombro cinema to animate the drawings made by Virginia Mori. Everything was filmed in live-action, no post production effects were employed. - John Mayer is a hella lucky guy.

Last night was the first night of Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival  which was held at Madison Square Garden in NYC. The evening started with an acoustic set from EC and continued through the Allman Brothers Band's six-song closing set. As promised, The Rolling Stones celebrated their final 50th anniversary concert with some big name guests. After delivering amazing performances of both "Thinkin Bout You" and "Pyramids" last night on Saturday Night Live , Frank Ocean continues to impress with the official video for "Pyramids". The video, directed by Nabil , sees Ocean driving a motorcycle while intoxicated, in a strip club while intoxicated, and in the desert watching John Mayer perform a guitar solo in front of a giant, neon pyramid, while intoxicated. Last night, Saturday Night Live started its 38th season, and as previously reported Frank Ocean was booked to kick the season off right. With Seth MacFarlane serving as host, Frank Ocean amplified the excitement with fantastic live renditions of "Thinkin Bout You" and "Pyramids", both of which featured on his debut masterpiece Channel Orange . Ocean was joined onstage, unsurprisingly , by John Mayer , who delivered a guitar solo during "Pyramids" while Ocean played video games. Watch both performances after the jump.

Fresh from his Saturday Night Live debut last night, Frank Ocean has dropped the epic-length 8-minute music video for "Pyramids," featuring an electric guitar solo cameo by John Mayer . In the clip, Frank shoots up a bunch of poor, defenseless bottles of liquor, then hops on a motorcycle to ride through the desert while some trippy visual effects have telephone poles bending like something out of a Salvador Dali painting. Next he has a jolly good time laughing at a bunch of strippers writhing in slow-mo. [...]

After taking over SNL last night with John Mayer , Frank Ocean has revealed the Nabil-directed video for his track "Pyramids" . Though it's not the full nine-minute album version, it makes up for it with Frank getting wasted ( Frank the tank! Frank the tank! ) at a bar, then shooting it up, and then going for a motorbike ride int he desert to an awesome strip club. Afterwards he meets up with John Mayer who soundtracks his hallucinations with light-emitting guitar licks, [...]

Frank Ocean - Pyramids An official video's emerged this weekend for one of the many standouts on Frank Ocean 's Channel Orange - the exquisitely overblown nine minute centrepiece 'Pyramids'.
