Well, John Mayer (who Katy Perry recently described as having a "beautiful mind" and a "tortured soul," in case you wanted to feel a lot of feelings about something this morning) has just released a new single and a new video: The song's called "Paper Doll" and it's a quintessentially John Mayer track, with a little Mumfordesque drum bit and a catchy-sweet melody, but it doesn't feel like it's really up to much. The song's release comes paired with a video that's called a video but is actually a lyric video, since Mayer's nowhere to [...]

This weeks cutie is a masterpiece. It was made by Virgilio Villoresi , who also directed the video of Riva Starr's Absence . As Virgillio says: - I used a pre-cinema technique called ombro cinema to animate the drawings made by Virginia Mori. Everything was filmed in live-action, no post production effects were employed. - John Mayer is a hella lucky guy.

Last night was the first night of Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival which was held at Madison Square Garden in NYC. The evening started with an acoustic set from EC and continued through the Allman Brothers Band's six-song closing set. We'll have more on Friday's festivities soon, but we wanted to share an impressive covered delivered by John Mayer and Keith Urban of Don't Let Me Down. Urban and Mayer are mainstream stars who can still shred melodically and energetically on guitar. This version of Don't Let [...]
It's hard to believe another year in pop music has is almost over — and what a wild and crazy one 2012 turned out to be! From surprising new couples, reconciliations and engagements (ahem, Chavril ), to K-pop dance crazes and viral music videos (thanks, Carly Rae Jepsen ), bizarre new haircuts to bittersweet farewells, Grammy sweeps and ghost sex ; we can only wonder how 2013 will top the last 12 months. To bid a fond adieu [...]
On Saturday night, the dream team of Lady Gaga and the Rolling Stones did not fail to disappoint audiences during the final concert in the band’s One More Shot tour , a celebration of 50 years together . Fans went gaga when Mother Monster took to the stage and belted “Gimme Shelter” as the boys rocked out at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Always having a flair for the dramatic, a long-haired Gaga, looking like Ziggy Stardust-esque space invader and outfitted in a [...]

As promised, The Rolling Stones celebrated their final 50th anniversary concert with some big name guests. Bruce Springsteen , Lady Gaga , and The Black Keys all performed alongside the band during their concert at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey last night. Following in the footsteps of Mary J. Blige and Florence Welch , Gaga sang alongside Mick Jagger for "Gimme Shelter", The Black Keys guested for the Bo Diddley cover of "Who Do You Love?", and Bruce Springsteen joined the band for "Tumbling Dice". John [...]
A few days late posting this video, yes. But who cares, its worth putting up a few days after the initial hype. Just think of me as the person who walks in the party late with an epic entrance. Yeah, I'm totally that guy.

Last night, Frank Ocean performed on the first episode of Saturday Night Live 's new season, which was hosted by Seth MacFarlane. If you've been dying to see John Mayer rip a solo on " Pyramids " while Frank fiddles with the on-stage arcade games, today is your lucky day. Watch the performances below. Read More...
After delivering amazing performances of both "Thinkin Bout You" and "Pyramids" last night on Saturday Night Live , Frank Ocean continues to impress with the official video for "Pyramids". The video, directed by Nabil , sees Ocean driving a motorcycle while intoxicated, in a strip club while intoxicated, and in the desert watching John Mayer perform a guitar solo in front of a giant, neon pyramid, while intoxicated. Oh yeah, and Mayer wears the same ridiculous necklace he wore during his guitar solo on SNL . Watch the replay above. [...]

Last night, Saturday Night Live started its 38th season, and as previously reported Frank Ocean was booked to kick the season off right. With Seth MacFarlane serving as host, Frank Ocean amplified the excitement with fantastic live renditions of "Thinkin Bout You" and "Pyramids", both of which featured on his debut masterpiece Channel Orange . Ocean was joined onstage, unsurprisingly , by John Mayer , who delivered a guitar solo during "Pyramids" while Ocean played video games. Watch both performances after the jump.

Fresh from his Saturday Night Live debut last night, Frank Ocean has dropped the epic-length 8-minute music video for "Pyramids," featuring an electric guitar solo cameo by John Mayer . In the clip, Frank shoots up a bunch of poor, defenseless bottles of liquor, then hops on a motorcycle to ride through the desert while some trippy visual effects have telephone poles bending like something out of a Salvador Dali painting. Next he has a jolly good time laughing at a bunch of strippers writhing in slow-mo. [...]

When Frank Ocean released Channel Orange back in July, we gushed that "we are not listening to the ‘norm’ of r’n'b culture of clubs and drinking; instead we have been given raw emotion of how memories of life’s highly influential moments can be blissful yet at times cause torturous pain, and Channel Orange thus works, because ultimately, this is something we can all relate to." Featuring Frank shooting up a bar and a bizarre cameo from John Mayer, it's a wonderful little clip. It was directed by Nabil who has previously worked [...]

Not to throw too many FRANK OCEAN posts your way, but you need to stop what you are doing and devote some love his way post haste his SNL stint last night. Not only did it launch the new season (pray for that) it also kicked your best artists' performances asses (once again) Click below to watch the two live ones THINKIN’ BOUT YOU and PYRAMIDS . Yes that’s the John Mayer , what's up with that? [...]

F rank Ocean took over TV sets last night with John Mayer performing on SNL . He also dropped this lengthy music video for the track "Pyramids" off channel Orange . Looks like him and Mayer are peoples now. Rad. FRANK OCEAN FEAT. JOHN MAYER - PYRAMIDS

After taking over SNL last night with John Mayer , Frank Ocean has revealed the Nabil-directed video for his track "Pyramids" . Though it's not the full nine-minute album version, it makes up for it with Frank getting wasted ( Frank the tank! Frank the tank! ) at a bar, then shooting it up, and then going for a motorbike ride int he desert to an awesome strip club. Afterwards he meets up with John Mayer who soundtracks his hallucinations with light-emitting guitar licks, [...]

Frank Ocean - Pyramids An official video's emerged this weekend for one of the many standouts on Frank Ocean 's Channel Orange - the exquisitely overblown nine minute centrepiece 'Pyramids'. Don't expect to hear the track in full in the clip below - it's a cinematic and suitably over-the-top take on the song that focuses on the track's spaced out, slow-jammed second half. We get shots of Frank on a motorcycle and looking a little hysterical in a strip club, as well as a guest appearance from Channel Orange guest John [...]
After completing a fantastic performance on SNL last night with John Mayer, which you can view below, Frank Ocean liberates the visuals for Channel Orange cut "Pyramids". First, let's take a look at the Saturday Night Live set, which featured "Thinking About You" and the better second half of "Pyramids". John Mayer shreds the guitar on the gut-wrenching tracks, as Ocean's dark tones make this the comedy show's most emotional performance to date. Now, let's make a move to the video for "Pyramids", which acts more like a [...]
