On Tuesday evening when the first part of Later... with Jools Holland was broadcast, Alabama Shakes made the UK TV debut with a performance of "Hold On" . Last night the second part of the show was aired and we got to enjoy a second track from the band, "Hang Loose". Later... with Jools Holland  was back on the air Friday night with a second set of performances by Jack White , Norah Jones , and  Alabama Shakes . (Here's the first set if you missed it.) White tackled the  Blunderbuss   track "Hip (Eponymous) Poor Boy" with the ladies, ripped through The White Stripes' classic "Ball and Biscuit" with the fellas, and shared a few words with Jools. Jones showcased her new LP  Little Broken Heart  with performances of its title track and "Say Goodbye", plus teamed up with Jools [...]

Rounding out the show on BBC last night, Later... with Jool Holland, featured a pair of performances from Alabama Shakes . With the band's debut hitting number 3 in the UK album chart and taking the top spot in the first ever Record Store Chart , Alabama Shakes performed their single "Hold On" and album track "Be Mine". The former is up for enjoyment at the top while "Be Mine" is available after the jump. These guys hit the mark every time. Boys & Girls is out now.

Alabama Shakes have added a whole host of dates to their forthcoming world tour, on the back of a very stellar performance on Jools Holland last night. The band, who recently released their debut Boys & Girls , performed 'Hold On' and 'Be Mine' on the show - which you can stream at the top and bottom of the page respectively.
