We introduced you to Palma Violets back in August via their highly infectious single " Best of Friends " and they've gone from strength to strength. With that in mind, last night they were one of the guests on Later... with Jools Holland and performed that aforementioned catchy track and they put in a stellar performance. It was energetic and attention grabbing from start to finish. It's been a solid line-up of guests this season for Later... with Jools Holland and last night's mid-week broadcast didn't disappoint either. British viewers got to enjoy the sensual vocals of The Weeknd who performed his track "Wicked Games" which featured on the recently released Trilogy . Rewatch the magic up at the top. Tonight on Radio One, Zane Lowe will be playing back a live session from Abel too that was recorded earlier in the week and the legendary Maida Vale studios so look out for that tomorrow too.

Tame Impala performed another track on the extended Friday edition of Later... With Jools Holland following up their great performance of " Elephant " earlier in the week. This time we get to enjoy "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards" from their album Lonerism too and it was just as great a way to end a week as it is to start one so hit play and c heck it out up at the top. Happy Monday.

Last Tuesday evening we got to enjoy Biffy Clyro drop by for the first broadcast of Later... with Jools Holland and they performed recent single " Stingin' Belle ". On Friday the band performed another two songs from their forthcoming album Opposites . They performed the newly unveiled " Black Chandelier " and the double LP's title track "Opposites". Another notable performance from last night's airing of Later... with Jools Holland came from the re-energised Bloc Party who recently returned with their stunningly riff heavy album, Four . Although not one of my personal favourites from the album, this live rendition of "So He Begins To Lie" shows the band are back and not pulling any punches in their return. Enjoy the performance at the top and look out for more later in the week.

Alt-J 's album An Awesome Wave has honestly been on repeat for month in my house. I can't get enough of it. Last night I was pleased to see them performing in the studios of Later... with Jools Holland for the masses at home. Last week, Grizzly Bear performed the lead Shields cut "Yet Again" on Later... with Jools Holland , and on Friday they stopped by once again to perform "A Simple Answer". Check out their performance above (via BBC ), and head here to watch their live rendition of "Yet Again".

Willy Moon has gone from strength to strength this year. He's recently been announced as the support for Jack White in the UK this coming month. Last night he also performed on Later... with Jools Holland which is sure to bring him into the consciousness of the masses watching at home. He performed his single from earlier in the year, "Yeah Yeah". Catch the dapper man dancing and performing at the top. He owns the entire studio! It's a truly great show from a rising star.

As well as that performance from Jessie Ware that we saw not too long ago on Later... with Jools Holland , we also got to see Sharon Van Etten return to the television screens for the first time since way back at the start of the year . She performed her track "Serpents" with the help of her band and you can watch it at the top. Nice use of an Ebow at the start of the track. Always fun to play around with those. Last week we got to enjoy performances from The xx and Muse on the first show in the new series of Later... with Jools Holland. Last night on week two's show the chart topping Mumford & Sons were in the studio to perform their track "Whispers in the Dark". Check it out at the top and if you're not one of the hundreds of thousands to already do so, you can pick up their new album Babel over here .

Muse are set to release their genre hopping album The 2nd Law next week on October 1st, and last night they performed their first bit of promotion on UK television with 2 performances on the return show of Later... with Jools Holland . First up they performed their recent single "Madness", the bass synth infused jam. Secondly they performed an album cut, "Panic Station", a track that's about as funky and out there as I've seen Muse in quite some time. Check out their lead single at the top with the slap [...]

What a busy few weeks it's been for Beach House , firstly we saw the, perform on Letterman late last week and last nigh they were back in the UK performing on Later... with Jools Holland . They performed "Myth" once again and the results can be seen up at the top and look out for some more performances appearing online over the weekend when the Friday show has been broadcast. Beach House 's new album Bloom is out now.
