Queens of the Stone Age rocking the Beaumont in Kansas City supporting their re-released self titled album. It was my first time seeing Josh Homme up close. I had seen Dean Fertita play with The Dead Weather and Joey Castillo/Micheal Shuman play with The Eagles of Death Metal. It was cool to hear the first album in its full glory.

But as has become customary in the nomadic Washingtonian's 25+ year career, he spent the time collaborating with a wealth of amazing talent, including the formation of The Gutter Twins alongside Greg Dulli, and recording sessions with Belle and Sebastian's Isobel Campbell, Dulli's The Twilight Singers, and his former outfit Queens of the Stone Age.
