British Electro Tyrants SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO are at it again. After the riotous success of 20092s Temporary Pleasure , James Ford and Jas Shaw have returned with another delectable portion of electronica in their latest long-player, Unpatterns . Along with acts like Digitalism and Justice , SMD pioneered the resurgence of electro in the latter 002s. Through their rich back catalogue of original songs and remixes, SMD have become one of the most sought after groups in their genre. Always innovating and [...]

With the long, fantastic weekend behind me, it's time to get back to work. A new A-Trak remix of Justice 's AC/DC-inspired "New Lands," from last year's "Audio, Video, Disco" has surfaced. The new take pushes to nearly seven minutes, with plenty of banger buildup. Check it out below.

SGTMT

Tweet We've not had a good BANGER on SGTMT for a while. I'm sorry, I really am. If you've been logging on everyday just desperate for some brain smattering electronic bass we've been letting you down. For this, I can only wholeheartedly apologise and beg for your forgiveness. Though I must add, if Tom keeps hogging the SGTMT jukebox then what can one do? Bully. With the pathetic grovelling over, let's get down to business. My mostest favouritist [...]

Whats up big pimpity pops? Welcome back. Its Thanksgiving and time to pull away from your ever so important Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Stumble-upon, Myspace (insert joke), Spotify, and all things in the cyber-world. Finally take a minute and give thanks to the important things in your life like the Family, Happiness, Food and of course The Burning Ear. You might be thinking "gee Joel, you kinda just contradicted yourself there with the whole cyber thing. I mean, TBE is part of the cyber-world". Well,... I think you're a contradiction. Enjoy! But that's exactly where Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay sat down for an exclusive interview about their new album, 'Audio, Video, Disco.' 'Audio, Video, Disco' means 'I hear, [...]

French dance duo, Justice’s latest album, Audio, Video, Disco see’s them dip their toes into proggy waters. Here’s a quick track by track breakdown: Horsepower – the album opener sounds like an arena quaking Jean Michel Jarre meets Discovery- era Daft Punk – the sonic equivalent of disco search lights Civilization – it’s like a warbling electro off-cut from Jeff Wayne's , The War of [...]

SGTMT
Tweet So over the weekend two new tracks from Justice hit the interweb; Canon & Newlands . Everyone, I mean literally every blogger who has ears & fingers is posting about them. That hasn't put me off as I know there are people who read SGTMT who don't spend their Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons soaking the remixes out of the Hype Machine . Canon is everything we've come to love from Justice; shiny, beaty, [...]

If you're not excited about the new Justice album, coming out Oct 26, then you probably don't like any of the music I ever have posted. Some of the best high school parties I went to were fueled by Justice. Thus, I have been twiddling my thumbs in anticipation ever sense they teased us all with " Civilization" one season ago. Here's their newest single off the album. It's called Video, Disco and it's a pretty damn-danceable track. I recommend listening to it on reallllyyy loud speakers, but then again I think everything sounds better on loud speakers. Enjoy, it's Justice. [...]

New earth-shattering (literally) music video for "Civilization" by Justice & a dark, violent Megaforce-directed clip from Is Tropical.

When Justice, (AKA Gaspard Auge and Xavier de Rosnay) released 'Cross' in summer '07, they created a musical frenzy that propelled them to stardom. Their heyday ran from summer 2007 and tailed off in 2009, but for that short period of time, they were the hottest act on the planet. Little wonder then that their long awaited return has been such a hot topic of discussion. Undeniably, music is not as it was back then; the scene they helped put on the map has decayed, French electro is all but forgotten, and it's clear that Justice would need [...]
