Day 3 of our 4-day countdown of the best of the year. Part 1 (80-61) can be found here . Part 2 (60-41) can be found here . To recap: AlbatRoss and I had 2 guidelines we stuck to in compiling this list: 1) it had to be rap (meaning no R&B - Frank Ocean and Miguel had killer years but they won't be found on this list) and 2) one song per project on the list. We did this (including honorable mentions, of course) to make sure we brought a good variety from the list and not to [...]
Courtesy of Most High TV. In celebration of Khaled Khaled's born day, Yeezy (and Weezy) hit the stage at Miami's Club LIV. They weren't the only superstars in attendance, though. Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Diddy, Birdman and many more were also thereto help Khaled celebrate. Check out Mr. West's quick set above. Props to 2DBZ for the heads up.

G.O.O.D. Music - Cruel Summer G.O.O.D. Music: 2012 The idea of a “Kanye West posse album” is a preposterous one. Since Kanye was signed as a rapper to Roc-A-Fella not for his rapping skills but because Dame and Jay wanted to keep their beatsman happy, he’s spent all his time yelling “Look at me!” and doing a Rob Van Dam pose . It’s his greatest character flaw, and also his greatest artistic asset. His insistence on talking about himself has allowed us to follow him from unappreciated Jay-Z lackey (“Big Brother”) to doing songs about being richer [...]

In addition to " Clique " hitting the web last night, the final track listing for G.O.O.D. Music's Cruel Summer compilation appeared. And it's...well, it's kind of underwhelming. Even though we had heard that Jay Electronica, Frank Ocean, and Yasiin Bey were slated to appear, they are nowhere to be found here. Also, the track listing looks like a re-up of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy , which isn't the worst scenario obviously. It's just kind of frustrating. 1. To The World – Kanye West, R. Kelly 2. Clique – Kanye West, [...]

Summer is almost over, and while we have had some good music, we have not yet had any G.O.O.D. Music. We are still awaiting the delayed compilation from Kanye West and friends, now scheduled to drop September 18. At least now we have a (rumored and unconfirmed) tracklist that looks pretty legit, assuring us that Jay-Z , Big Sean , Kid Cudi , Pusha T , and many more will be seeing summer out in [...]

This Hype Williams-directed video for Fat Joe 's "Pride N Joy" - which features Kanye West , Mos Def , DJ Khaled , Jadakiss , Busta Rhymes , Roscoe Dash , and Miguel - might not be what you would expect from a typical Hype Williams-directed video. The director forgoes his normal seizure-inducing scenes in favor of shots of 'Ye, Busta, Miguel, DJ Khaled, Jadakiss, Roscoe Dash, Ashanti, some scantily-clad women, and many bottles of Nuvo. Check out the visuals below. ( Mostly [...]

With a new album in the works and set to release in the fall, Fat Joe dropped this star-studded video for the LP's first single entitled, "Pride N Joy." The track features damn near everybody on the planet including folks like Kanye West, DJ Khaled, and Busta Rhymes. Yasiin Bey also makes a vocal appearance on the record, but not in the video. Conversely the lovely Ashanti swings through for a visual cameo, but doesn't join on the mic. Check out this Hype Williams-directed feature below and pick the single up on [...]
As you might already know, Fat Joe's pretty great new single, " Pride N Joy ", features damn near everyone in the world. Although you mostly only hear the voices of Miguel and Kanye West , the track also boasts choir-esque vocals from Jadakiss , DJ Khaled , Roscoe Dash, Busta Rhymes , and Yasiin Bey . For whatever reason, the artist formerly known as Mos Def couldn't make it to the shoot for the Hype Williams-directed visuals, but everyone else did. Including Ashanti. Why? Why not, I guess? Anyway, you can peep [...]
Fat Joe's back and he's enlisting the entire conglomerate for his single, "Pride N Joy," though it's not what anyone would expect. With vocals from the likes of Kanye West, [...] The post Fat Joe Feat. Kanye West, Busta Rhymes, Miguel, Jadakiss, DJ Khaled & Roscoe Dash - "Pride & Joy" Video appeared first on The Smoking Section .

DJ Khaled - Kiss The Ring Def Jam: 2012 DJ Khaled's latest effort Kiss The Ring is a victory lap. His last two albums proclaimed his triumph; after albums titled Victory and We The Best Forever , there's nothing left to do other than gloat. Hell, the last track is just Khaled ordering a nice meal poolside with Ace Hood. He moves away from the hyper-energetic Lex Luger beats that peppered his last album, toward more decadent beats by Hit-Boy and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. This isn't a man leading an army anymore, this is [...]

Slava P occasionally gets J.R.R. Tolkien confused with Ace Hood. Shout Out To The Real - Meek Mill/ Ace Hood/ Piles An energetic trap jam - "over-trapped" by the addition of Piles Bitches And Bottles - Future/ T.I./ Lil' Wayne Turn' ignorance up. Legends (and Future) spit bars of no consequence I Wish You Would - Kanye West/ Rick Ross Angry and hi-fi autotuned taunts beg you to [...]

From the title alone, you can tell that Kiss The Ring is a study in hubris. While the Pope and DJ Khaled both share a predilection for heavy gold jewelery, Khaled unfortunately has no grounds to commend grovelling respect. His previous albums (such as Victory and We The Best Forever ) betray his now-standard hip-hop egotism, and this record proves how little he deserves to think highly of himself. If DJing, producing and recording for DJ [...]

If you read NJawn you know we hate that Khaled gets any credit for this track but it's a must post with these 2 rappers. Verses are semi-hard and Khaled screaming dumb shit.
First the BET Awards and now his music videos. It seems the transformation of Kim into Kanye's new muse is finally complete. In a bit of a surprising (re: not so surprising) move, the socialite makes a brief appearance in Ye's new video for "Cold." The Hype Williams-directed visual also features Rick Ross who spits his verse from "I Wish You Would" and DJ Khaled doing whatever it is he does. Hit the jump for video, but be warned. It may cause seizures. "I Wish You Would" is [...]
Hold on to your chairs folks, this is a shaky ass video! Directed by Hype Williams, the lastest visual offering from Mr. West, Rozay and Khaled take on the track "I Wish You Would" and mix in Kanye's "Way Too Cold." I was a little skeptical at first with the whole idea of combining 2 videos into one, but this works. Hey, its a tough economy folks. 2 for the price of 1 is always a good deal.

Hold onto something stable before pressing "play" on DJ Khaled , Kanye West and Rick Ross ' "I Wish You Would" video — you might feel a little dizzy. If you'd rather not risk it, we'll sum up the Hype Williams -directed clip for you: Khaled, Yeezy and Ross rap in a brick alleyway, often cloaked in darkness, as the camera mercilessly shakes back and forth. The vid for West's Kim Kardashian -referencing "Cold" [...]
Here is the simple yet visually striking Hype Williams-directed double video for two DJ Khaled tracks. First is "I Wish You Would" with Ricky Rozay and Kanye, second is the Kanye West boastathon/Kardashian love confession "Cold" (formerly known as "Way Too Cold" formerly known as "Threaflu").

If you're prone to motion sickness, this Hype Williams-directed video that combines Kanye West and DJ Khaled 's "I Wish You Would" and "Cold" (formerly known as "Theraflu," then "Way Too Cold") probably isn't for you. 'Ye, Khaled, and Rick Ross trade verses in a tunnel of some sort during a pseudo-earthquake, an effect created by a very shaky camera. And yes, Kim Kardashian makes a brief cameo during her shout out in "Cold." Check out the visuals below. HOW TO LOVE: KANYE & KIM
