I remember it like it was yesterday. It was a Saturday in May. I had just finished finals week of my junior year in college, so naturally I was running off a combined 20 hours of sleep for the past 7 days. An accumulation of Adderall was flowing through my veins as I sat slouched in a chair of a grad party living room. Red solo cup in my right hand and left over pulled pork sandwich in my left, my eyes we're inevitably beginning to close regardless of amphetamines and alcohol. Suddenly, I heard a voice come from the [...]

BALLERS-I PUT NUMBERS ON THE BOARDS. As the time diminishes until Pusha T's debut studio album My Name Is My Name is released, new music from the dope boy dealer continues to fuel the already high anticipation. Last Friday King Push gave us his Kanye West and Don Cannon produced track Numbers On The Boards and gahDAYUMN is it insane. Although timing out at little under three minutes, the bars and terminally sick instrumental get in your grill from the very start and never back down. Excuse my hard [...]
A few days ago when Jay-Z dropped Open Letter, Kanye took to Twitter to shout out his “fams” big record. Later that day, Ye dropped this track he produced featuring GOOD Music emcee, Pusha T. Dig it.

Is "Numbers On The Boards" an ode to Jay-Z or a slight shot at Hova's relinquished hustler persona? Are Kanye and Don Cannon channeling Hell Hath No Fury-era Neptunes? How much of a roll did Hudson Mohawke have in he production process? We'll probably never get the answer to these questions, but one thing we do know is that Pusha T is back in all of his snarling glory. We've all known that Pusha sounds best icy, minimalist beats and it appears that he's finally gotten back that made us fall in love with the Virginia Beach brothers back [...]

Although the compilation is current available in the U.S. (for whatever reason), J. Period's brand new G.O.O.D. Music: Remixed & Unreleased features this Kanye West and Consequence cut, "Hold On." It's a short track, so there's nothing extraordinarily huge here, but it's Kanye and good production so you should be on board.
Kanye's most recent performances have been all over the internets as of late, but last night (in, uh, Paris), Yeezy gave us the most important info of all: he's dropping new music very soon. Meeting by chance last summer, when a mutual friend asked Xander to help her record a Birthday song for her little brother, she mentioned Ed was producing tracks and they should meet up. After clicking immediately and discovering they shared joint inspirations from the like of Kanye West, Andre 3000, Imogen Heap and Japanese culture, they soon began developing ideas into their own stripped back electronic styled R&B jams.
