What a nice collaboration: The two who already did that black-beastie-boys-shit before The Cool Kids just spitting some rhymes with Mr. Irrationally in person! And somewhere in between there is KAWS ... Kinda like a big deal !
Some new Kanye that features no singing and better yet no autotune. Rap is back baby. Sorry for the tags will get a tagless version soon.
The Princess of the Roc, Teairra Mari is back with a new jam featuring the Louis Vuitton Don himself, Kanye West. If I'm mistaken Kanye has plenty of experience rapping about diamonds.
Gaaah yes I know Kanye did the VH1 Storytellers nearly a month ago, but I never had the time to comment on it. And, with one of my papers handed in today at 3:58 before the 4:00 deadline, I decided to take a break. Amongst movies, music, and dance parties, I re-watched Kanye's performance on VH1 and it is sooo much better than the first time, which was already pretty rad. I relish the fact that an artist of this generation has finally re-appropriated the terms entertainer, performer, and artist. All we see and have seen in the [...]
"Where Kanye blazed trails with his singing on "808 and Heartbreak", I have decided to cross over into hip hop," says John Mayer about his supposed foray into the hip-hop genre. He's either a musical genius, douchebag, or one satirical bastard. You decide.
Got a request to reup this silly jam. Ask and you shall receive! LMFAO feat. Kanye West - Love Lockdown download | mp3 Bookmark It [...]
goodness. 'ye was almost a goner. and you know i'm right. that mullet fro joint? the suit with the heart? the album was cool, but was it the kanye west that we all loved to hate / hated to love? no, it wasn't. luckily, this PYT that you see by his side, amber rose , saved him. and he's back to the regular charisma [editor's note: i've substituted the word "swag/swagger" with either "charisma" or "appeal" at any opportunity that presents itself. complements to A.B. the Producer .] that he had when we first saw him. [...]
Kid Cudi - Sky Might Fall (prod. by Kanye West)
I'm watching this now via RRT . Supposedly he's talking about Blueprint 3 and what 50 had to say about him. My video is still loading unfortunately as I type this. I'm hoping Kanye will say something crazy because I could use a laugh right now.
First seen @ Okayplayer . In other news I have a test this morning. Wish me luck...
He is killing it with his Pegleg -Shirt!
A previously unreleased Kanye track has been made available. The track, titled Gossip Files or Dream Killers, is reminiscent of the old College Dropout days, which means its fire. Also the beat has a nice ODB loop in it.
I'm watching this joint as soon as I get home tonight haha.
I was just getting tracks together for tomorrow's big Barbary show when it occurred to me that EVERYONE needs to hear Nick Catchdub's recent Kanye remix. I knew it would rule as soon as I saw the word "jeep." And for those of you who are less prone to hip-hop throwbacks, check out Cousin Cole's amazing acid mix of the same track. Also, what a crazy coincidence that Skinny just did a Kanye related post this afternoon! Kanye West - Champion (Nick Catchdubs Jeep Mix) [...]
Kanye West is NOT doing a bisexual porn scene. LOL. The internet has been abuzz the last few days about Kanye's desire to first; pose nude and second; do a bisexual porn scene . Kanye went off on his blog yesterday about getting hacked and having people gunning to destroy him. Ya gotta feel bad for him a little, even if you're not a big fan of his music. Shit really isn't cool to have someone put words in your mouth, particularly about hopping around nude with dudes.
Looks like the Jiggaman is a fan of Barack too. So far me and Prodigy of Mobb Deep are the only two people connected with rap that supported Ron Paul. Whatever. Sean Carter also dropped a pretty interesting remix to Jeezy's "My President Is Black".. which is posted below: [See post to listen to audio] DOWNLOAD: Jay-Z - My President Is Black (Remix) Kanye was of course also in attendance: [...]
5. Mixtape Volume 3 by The Hood Internet The Hood Internet's Mixtape Volume 3 is, in my opinion, the best mixtape released by the Chicago-based mash-up duo. Sometimes described as Girl Talk on Adderall, The Hood Internet takes indie rock hits and mashes them up to hip-hop beats. Mixtape Volume 3 is no exception. A few of the our favorite tracks include Crime Mob vs The Dodos - "Stilettos In The Park", Pimp C (feat. Lil Keke) vs The New Pornographers - "Knocking Fablez Down" and Lil Wayne (feat. [...]
Christmas is early here at White Folks Get Crunk. OK truth is like everybody else I have been incredibly busy during this time of year. Not only that but I am going into surgery this afternoon, nothing too serious however that being said I'm not sure exactly when I will be feeling up to posting again. So I have a bit of housecleaning to do, there are tons of jams I have been sent, found their way to the DJ Site and I have found all over the place that need some pub. Here are just a handful of them [...]
I'm headin' home for Winter Break today.I'm gonna be on that Greyhound again on the way back to Jerz. This'll probably be the only post of the day so enjoy it. Come to think of it, I like the original version better from about '03. I'll do some diggin' when I get back to find the mp3. This is gonna have to do for now.
Evan Roth presents... the first ever rap video with open source code ! He uses typographic illustration, repeatedly throwing down letters that spell "Brooklyn" to eventually form sweet illustrations of Jay-Z and Biggie. Why Biggie? The song comes off the Notorious OST, a biographical film starring Jamal Woolard . It's out January 16 via Fox Searchlight. The track was produced by Kanye West and as you guessed heavily features the "Brooklyn we go hard" sample from "Shove It" off Santogold's debut LP. She pops in for a verse [...]
