I'm currently driving a car for the summer that won't let me listen to CDs, so I'm stuck listening to the radio. Not being someone who is particularly in tune with a majority of popular music it gives me a chance to catch up on what everyone is listening to ("Call Me Maybe" apparently), which normally doesn't end so well. Turns out, Kanye's thumper of a G.O.O.D. Music single, " Mercy ", is geting a fair amount of airplay. Chicago producer/DJ duo Flosstradamus is the latest act to put together a mix for the folks at Live For The Funk and good lord, what a mix it is. For 34 minutes, they blend together cuts from their own catalog along with bangers from TNGHT , Kanye West , Sleigh Bells , Danny Brown , and many others. After previously covering the track on tour, Brooklyn-based indie outfit Oberhofer drop the official audio for their Kanye West cover of "Runaway". Adding a bit of spunk, the lead vocalist puts a raw spin on the hip-hop ballad. Oberhofer's latest album  Time Capsules II  is out now.

Kanye West 's "Runaway" has been covered many times live by Brooklyn indie band Oberhofer , but now the band has released an official recording of their rendition of Ye's iconic track. While their version of the song doesn't evoke the emotional intensity of Kanye's original, the sprawling soundscape and echoing piano chords do the song justice. After all, it's always good to hear how other musicians interpret each other's work. Download and stream it below.
