Remember when Q-Tip & Pusha hinted about this project during the red carpet interviews at the BET Awards. Well today, Kanye released the trailer for his upcoming short film, Cruel Winter.  The Austin Christianson film will definitely be an interesting follow-up to West's  Runway film, especially with the 1961 New World Order speech by President Eisenhower used in the trailer. Kanye West made a short film called Cruel Summer - he also built a pyramid for the occasion, cuz he's Kanye - which served as a precursor to the eventual G.O.O.D. Shouts to 87th street outfit...  Here's a cool interview from 1998 and Coodie & Chike's Channelzero show.  The interview takes place at Jermaine Dupri's birthday, and features Coodie talking to Ma$e and a young Kanye West.  The interview is quick and not too deep with Ma$e's posse giving Cali the weed title and Kanye big upping his production credits on Harlem World and his crew back at the crib.  This is dope.

Despite time winding down until the December release of Lil Wayne's tenth studio album, I Am Not A Human Being II , not much is really known about the upcoming project, which, considering the hype built up around Tha Carter IV, may not necessarily be a bad thing. MTV recently caught up with the rapper though, and Weezy revealed a few huge names that were involved in the production for the album. This track is crazy! This is the kanye from songs like "All Falls Down". That soulful, storytelling Kanye that has arguably been in hiding recently. Yes, there has been a lot to cover when it comes to RZA's The Man With The Iron Fists , but the past few days have produced some of the juiciest content to date. Yesterday I posted a picture of my copy of Cruel Summer on instagram.  Some commenters, as well as other offline, asked me why I decided to buy the LP, some saying it wasn't worth the purchase.  I bought the record because as a fan of the music, I wanted to have Kanye's new work.  It's another album in his catalog and an offering his creativity.  I also bought it because of the story behind the album, which Kanye talks about in this new clip. That's why I decided to buy it.

With G.O.O.D. Music 's Cruel Summer finally (officially) out, its about time to get some insight from the project's intellectual mastermind. Let Mr. West take you into his head as he describes the goals he had in mind while crafting the collaborative effort.
