If 'Sacrilege' is anything, then it's a return to the roots. Listening to it made me feel very close to the band's early days, when the alternative trio made (if you ask me) their best music. Whenever a band held in such high regard as are Karen O's Yeah Yeah Yeahs return with anything that may be deemed an in any way subversive change of tact, there are always going to be dissenters up in arms exclaiming "Sacrilege!" and so forth.
