Jeremy Greenspan) Kelley Polar returns after what seems like an age, and a very welcome return it is. His first release since 20082s critically-acclaimed album "I Need You To Hold On While The Sky Is Falling", Kelley Polar's brilliant new song "I'm Not What You Want" features vocals from Jeremy Greenspan of the Junior Boys, and is out today through Morgan Geist's Environ label. The release of "At Home", Crystal Fighter's new single from Star of Love, is almost here (03.07). As previously mentioned, this EP comes full-stacked with remixes by Hermanos... **Summary** Go to website for downloads, videos & more.
Dan Snaith's newest album, Swim, strives for a versatile type of dance music. While different than his usual offerings, Swim is a fascinating success regardless.
In typical Kelley Polar form, this song is extremely weird, creepy and confusing but as interesting and addictive as they come. Given title " Chrysanthemum " (mushroom cloud analogy) and lyrics ("Two atoms kiss and what a funny valentine") I think this song is about a nuclear attack on humanity, tragic. The chorus is nothing short of fu@$%d up goodness. Make a chrysanthemum of every human head Make a chrysanthemum and kill them in their beds Make a chrysanthemum till everybody's dead" I'll be posting more from Kelley, [...]

Kelley Polar is a former classical violinist/composer who found this website and started making Space Age love music. A Dream In Three Parts is one of the standouts from his album, though the album isn't short of good tracks. A full exposure of all his influences, it is borderline weird like all his stuff but still very musical and engaging. The vocal performance may be off-putting for some but the chord progressions and melodies make it easy to overlook any faults. One of my person space age favorites, enjoy. Kelley Polar - A Dream [...]

Tom Stone - Motherless (2006) My list of Great Songs of 2008 expands past the 100 mark... including the amazing Zoey Deschanel debut, two UK nominees for the 2008 Mercury Prize, the side project of one of my favorite voices of Super Furry Animals, an alternative country singer my sister Kate hooked me on, and an awesome microbiology metaphor. [...]

Hackney boy producer and edit extraordinaire, we are yet to find a bad tune from this guy. Originally one half of Radioslave he now runs Arcobaleno records and holds down a residency at We Love Sundays at Space. This mix from May 30th 2006 fueled my love for the techno italo combo. Resident adivisor has a cool piece about the man in question. 1. X-Ray Connection – Get Ready (sSuk edit) 2. Poussez – Come on and do it (Cuts) 3. Jimmy Bo Horn – Spank (sSuk edit) 4. Nitro Deluxe – Lets [...]

HOUSE DISCOPARK is a 1 night music festival of sorts held by the people at House. A combined concert and club night where international bands and artists transform House at Dempsey Hill into a musical paradise. And boy are we excited. This April we will see the full band of [...]

So this is December, and what have you loved? Another year over, a new one about to begin..... that's right woodchuck-chuckers, it's year-end list season! What you'll find below is a list of our "top" 15 albums released in 2008. What does this mean? Our favorites? The best records we heard all year? Both, yes. As we did last year , we worked together as a [...]

Notice the careful word choice here. We're not so much cheerleading those songs that fall under the textbook definition of actual "singles"; rather, we prefer approaching this whole inexact science of "best-of-ology" with open minds and even more open (opener?) ears. Which is to say this: the following represents our favorite songs from 2008. Tops. Period. Fully subjective, fully filtered through our own personal tastes, and fully responsible for rocking EAR FARM's world in 2008. So let's do this thing, shall we? Scroll down to view/listen to the full countdown of EAR FARM's Top Songs Of 2008. [...]
