Oxymoron is coming soon. Produced by THC , the energetic Collard Greens showcases the black hippy buddies at their best. Available on iTunes now. Kendrick really goes in, and in two languages, Q may be playing catchup on his own track. Regardless, this further excites for ScHoolboy's proper debut LP. mp3: ScHoolboy Q - Collard Greens ft. Kendrick Lamar |
Another high spirited release from Top Dawg's ScHoolboy featuring Kendrick Lamar . Hazy, druggy production with insane rhyme schemes from the two, adding another classic to their growing collaboration collection. This is rumored to be the second single off Q's forthcoming Interscope debut album "Oxymoron". So far the project is shaping up to be full of energy The post ScHoolboy Q feat. Yesterday, we gave you the video for Kendrick Lamar's " Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe. " Coincidentally, Raven Lore of Fort Worth, Texas dropped an EP of cover songs - one of which is a medley of Kendrick Lamar tracks. "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe," makes an appearance in the medley, but I'll let you have your fun and pick out the tracks on your own. There's a music video that you can watch here too. Listen and download the project that features fresh takes on Regina Spector, Kings of Leon, Brittany Spears and Fleet Foxes. [...]

Le rappeur Kendrick Lamar propose un clip vidéo pour son titre Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe .

You can always count on artists like the Gaslamp Killer to have great taste, which makes their mixes and live shows so goddamn compelling. It also gives you a great reason to follow them on Facebook and Twitter, which is where GLK just dropped these links to massive remixes from Portland, Ore. producer Eprom. He's taken on Kendrick Lamar 's "M.A.A.D. City" and Jay-Z & Kanye West 's "N***as in Paris" and overhauled them into video game-y oblivion. Seriously, imagine gobbling 'shrooms, playing a mix featuring these tracks, and then attempting to squash goombas as your [...]
Robin Thicke continues his pseudo- Timberlake comeback with new single " Give It to You" that surprisingly sounds like pseudo-Usher comeback single " OMG " , coincidentally that same producer on the boards for both ( will.i.am ). It's a too hard attempt at chart topping, annoyingly catchy, and the cliche rap features don't add any flair or favor. It'll be on the radio for zombie enjoyment, but i'll have to be pretty inebriated and paid to admit that this is a "good" song. The post Robin Thicke Feat. 2 Chainz & Kendrick [...]

If you’ve heard R&B guru MIGUEL’s second studio album ‘Kaleidoscope Dream’ you’d agree ‘How Many Drinks’ is the cherry on top of the fresh flavor he's created for everyday left-of-centre urban pop. If you didn’t think it could taste any better then you were wrong. With MIGUEL releasing his second album the same time KENDRICK LAMAR ‘Good Kid, m.A.A.d City’ sophomore album was released last year, its no wonder these two would collab! MIGUEL’s sensual beat and sugary sweet lyrics about [...]
Let's hop in the time machine and go back to the days when Kendrick Lamar was once known to the world as K-Dot. A young, 16-year-old kid from Compton, struggling for a shot to show what the world what he's made of, unknowing of the success that's awaiting for him in the near future. Sporting a much different sound, vibe, manner, and fashion style, Kendrick was trying to find his own path while developing his own look in a pool full of wanna-be-rappers. During this time K-Dot recorded his first ever mixtape titled Youngest Head Nigga In [...]

Kendrick Lamar' s 2003 debut mixtape, Y.H.N.I.C. ( Youngest Head Nigga In Charge ), recently surfaced online. As FACT points out, the Compton rapper was only 16 years old when he released the 11-track tape, which includes samples of then-hip-hop radio staples such as Snoop Dogg's "Drop It Like It’s Hot", Lil Wayne’s "Go DJ", and Jay-Z’s "Hova Song". Joe Budden and Freeway also guest on a track. Lamar discussed the mixtape in a 2011 interview with HipHopDX : “We put it out on a local scale in Compton and built a buzz [...]

Who released one of the best album of 2012? You're damn right it was Miguel . Who else released one of the best albums of 2012? You're damn right it was Kendrick Lamar . Who's made sex explosion to both albums and wished they'd somehow mesh or collaborate for one perfect baby-makin' LP? This guy. Today we're one step closer to that becoming a reality as Kendrick throws down a few verses on Miguel 's Kaleidoscope [...]

Kid Cudi's upcoming album Indicud has leaked and the world gets to hear the highly anticipated song "Solo Dolo Pt. 23 for the first time. I'm feeling this track from Cudder. He starts the track with the Cudi croon but gives King Kendrick center stage for good reason. The drums go hard, the hook is catchy and the chords are a great choice for the duo. KiD CuDi - Solo Dolo Pt. 2 (Feat. Kendrick Lamar) MP3: Kid Cudi - "Solo Dolo Pt. 23 Ft. Kendrick Lamar [...]

Indicud is fast-approaching, which means new tracks should be hitting the Internet rather quickly. Such as this studded collaborative effort between Kid Cudi and Kendrick Lamar . Spraying bars over a bouncing, futuristic beat, the two restore darkness in the sequel to an already lonely composition. It rocks, too, and it gets us even more anxious for that April 23 release date of Indicud.

Over the years music has become a form of free therapy for any and everyone with 2 ears and a handful of struggles. Some are blessed with the opportunity to tell their story, while others are blessed with knowing they aren't alone in what they go through. It's easy for an artist to portray a lifestyle they wish they had, but true talent lies in effortlessly painting a picture of what they've been through. Whether you've heard of Gee Watts before today, "Watts Up" will get you very much acquainted with the Kansas City [...]

I haven't heard much from the Kansas City native Gee Watts before this, but any record featuring Kendrick immediately gets you some notoriety. This is titled "Watts R.I.O.T", and the productions follows a form Kendrick is definitely in tune with. I also wonder when these verses are actually recorded, and how long some emcees hold on to their features, waiting for the right time to get on. Stream below, Watts Up due April 7th

We hadn't heard of Kansas City-based rapper Gee Watts prior to this morning, but his new single, "Watts R.I.O.T.", leaves us believing he'll be one to keep an eye on. No, it's not just because he landed himself a strong Kendrick Lamar guest verse. While his bars are pretty sharp, Watts holds his own over the piano-heavy production. Also, yes, Kendrick might be recycling plenty of rhymes from his Cosmic Kev freestyle, but they sound natural here amid the urgency of the instrumental.
I'm not sure when the time will come that I have had enough of listening to the screwed dark R&B stuff. It has been a revolution I am more than glad was televised. Kill them with colour (yes, America there is a cheeky 'u' in there) are a duo from Toronto via British Columbia via France, Trinidad and Tobago and Newcastle Island. Exotic much? These guys seem to have a history of just about every electronic genre there is but recent efforts have them zoning out with heavy beats, tuned down vocals and soft layered synths. I have [...]
