It's official: you can stay away from the coffee pot for the rest of the day. If you need some kind of jolt, just throw on the latest mixtape from DJs Flosstradamus. Banned II is hype-as-hell collection of tracks from acts like Baauer , A-Trak , A$AP Rocky , and A$AP Ferg . Oh, and Flosstradamus decided to remix Danny Brown 's "Witit" with some fucking crazy results. You can listen to and download the tape below. [ via ] Track list: [...]
![[Video] Ab-Soul: “ILLLumintate” feat. Kendrick Lamar](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4724467_lg.jpg)
Soulo links with Fredo Tovar and Scott Fleishman to get behind the camera and direct the visuals, for “ILLLumintate” a noteworth album cut from Control System, which dropped in May 2012. Looking forward to what’s next. Seems like Schoolboy’s up next though. #TDE
It's not often that remixes completely overhaul source material, especially in the realm of hip-hop. And many times, producers tackling rap joints tend to just rely on cheap tricks and/or turn it into a pulsing rave track. Such is not the case for BMB aka Spacekid's take on Kendrick Lamar 's " Swimming Pools (Drank) ". Calling this a remix almost undersells it, as the Russian producer basically makes the good kid, m.A.A.d. city single his own. Yeah, this is awesome.

One of hip-hop's finest triple-threats, J-Live , is showcasing two-thirds of his talents on his new mixtape, HOT vs. DOPE Vol. 2 . He sets things off by spitting fiery bars over Nottz' "Blast That" and outlines that on here, he's in full-on DJ mode. He's not pushing buttons, dropping lame sound effects, or anything like that. J's just spinning what's, well, hot and dope on this 25-track mix that features cuts from Talib Kweli , Pac Div , Sean Price , Roc Marciano , Big Boi , and plenty more of our favorites. [...]

2012 wasn't a big year for the rap album. Singles succeeded throughout the internet and (to some extent) the mainstream, but there weren't any albums that grasped at the public's attention. That is, except for Kendrick Lamar and his opus. An album devoted to a singular purpose, it achieved a portrait of a young man growing up in Compton. Lamar is a talented rapper and has an ear for production, but it's his storytelling that sets him apart from hip hop's collective mass. Around a diverse palette of beats, [...]

Photos by Averie Harvey Out of no where. Sold out shows across the country. No significant radio play. Only now they are starting to catch on. In this post record sales and post radio era, underground hip hop is just as popular as ever with a new generation. Last night went off. Never have we scene the Enmore bounce like that with a crowd full of dedicated hip hop fans. Kendrick did a mix of both old and new material, which all went down amazingly and then 'bam' came out [...]

Is it safe to assume someone leaked "1Train" as a Hannukah gift? One of the more prominent tracks on ASAP Rocky's debut album LongLiveA$AP 's tracklist is here on the internets and it features Kendrick Lamar, Joey Badass, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, Action Bronson & Big K.R.I.T. going in on a Hit Boy beat. He was probably like 'yo I can record a verse too if y'all want me too...' Sounding like an NY hip hop posse cut. Download & stream "1Train" here: A$AP Rocky - 1Train f. Kendrick Lamar, Joey [...]
Who saw this one coming? The star-fucking-studded "1Train" from A$AP Rocky's proper debut, LongLiveA$AP , has hit the web about a month before the album's set to drop. In case you didn't know, the Hit-Boy-produced track features Rocky trading rhymes with Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, and Big K.R.I.T. Yeah, and if you're wondering whether or not this is dope, just hit play below and be prepared to fucking love it. [ via ]

T.I. stopped by Sway In The Morning to premiere "Memories Back Then," a track featuring Kendrick Lamar, B.O.B. & Kris Stephens that didn't make the cut for his new LP Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head (in stores tomorrow). Did the record deserve to be on the album? Are labels unwilling to clear B.O.B. features? Listen to "Memories Back Then" and let us know. TI - Memories Back Then ft. Remember Dido? In the hip-hop world, she is best known for her works with Marshall Mathers. She never really stayed on my radar but I guess she is still making tunes. In this episode of "Dido working with Rappers" she lets K Dot hop on the track to spit a quick sixteen and, as usual, doesn't let down. Was there a hip hop album released in the last six months that Kendrick didn't have a feature on? I can name one or two from the top of my head. Regardless, enjoy this little collaboration that has been bestowed [...]

Dido, people, the lady who was sampled on Eminem's classic 1999 record "Stan", is now prepping the release of her fourth studio album. Em's single was absolutely massive back in the day, but it remains unclear if this soothing pop singer can rekindle the flame that burned for her back in the '90s. She is giving it a shot, though, enlisting one of hip-hop's most relevant MCs in Kendrick Lamar for her first album offering, "Let Us Move On". I always said, though, if you've heard one Dido song you've probably heard them all. As is [...]
![Kendrick Lamar – Good Kid, Purple City #ChoppedNotSlopped [Downloads]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4670932_lg.jpg)
The kings of your favorite Chopped Not Slopped records have gone to the WESTSIIDE with their latest rendition of Kendrick Lamar 's good kid, m.A.A.d city . DJ Candlestick and OG Ron C took this year's favorite hip hop album and made it that much better with a little southern hospitality. Tracklist: 01. Kendrick Lamar - Og Ron C Speaks 02. So it appears that Game is only himself when he is calling out other people, as is the case with his latest diss track, "Blood Of Christ". The Jesus Piece bonus track takes shots at all sorts of players in the game, such as Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo. Oh, and he really calls out Diddy, doesn't he? "I always wondered why Puff wasn’t in that truck." This is pretty serious, and quite frankly, the first time I've heard Game passionately rap in his own style since "300 Bars And Runnin'". [ via ]

Game's new track "Murder" featuring Scarface and Compton neighbor Kendrick Lamar will unfortunately not be on new album Jesus Piece due to sample clearance issues, so this one is for the blogs. Jayceon Taylor, Brad Jordan & Kendrick Duckworth on the track. Game - Murder ft. Scarface & Kendrick Lamar Jesus Piece album drops next Tuesday December 11th. Pre-order here . MP3: Game - "Murder" ft. Scarface & Kendrick Lamar |
As we get closer to the release of Game 's new album, Jesus Piece , the Compton-repping MC has taken the time to further increase our anticipation with a heavy new track. "Murder" features Game at perhaps his sharpest, reminiscing on all the death he's seen—from those in his circle to celebrity idols like Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson . He's joined on the third verse by Scarface , who sounds right at home over the somber production. The same goes for Kendrick Lamar , even though he's limited to hook duties. You can [...]
![[Interview] Pac Div: Gabe, Mike & Brian](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4658203_lg.jpg)
Pac Div, the Hip Hop trio of brothers Gabe (Like) and Mike (Mibbs), with best friend Brian (BeYoung), have been through just about every quintessential "music industry" situation. Since downsizing from 11 members to three, Pac Div have been blog darlings, major label signees, major label casualties and everything in between. It seems as though right now, Pac Div are almost just as known for what they've been through as the music they've made. On November 27th, Pac Div released their somewhat self-titled sophomore album, GMB , as another effort to fully show who they are as artists, not just [...]

One of 2012's most unsuspectingly stellar mixtapes comes from producer DJ Dahi , who's fame has nabbed him some time with Freddie Gibbs and Kendrick Lamar on good kid, m.A.A.d city 's "Money Trees." Jumpy, disconnected, and large in scope, Toys 2.0 is welcoming in its all-over appeal. The instrumental album doesn't dwell solely in the realm of hip-hop production, taking surprising leaps to clever chip tune pop on tracks like "Simon," and jazz soul revisions on "Binyah Binyah" (the name-sake from notorious 1990s kids show Gulla Gulla [...]
![[Artwork] Kendrick Lamar: “Swimming Pools” (Mano ’93 Nostalgia Remix)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4653494_lg.jpg)
For the past couple days Million $ Mano has been teasing the most recent remix he's worked on for Kendrick Lamar's "Swimming Pools." After stating he isn't a fan of remixing these days, because it's a majority of what he did while coming up 4+ years ago, it's not a surprise Kendrick is the one to get Mano inspired again. Timbuck2 premiered the track on GCI last night, but look for the track soon online. I'm still hoping on Downtown Wednesday Night ...

While over the pond, Kendrick stopped by BBC on Gilles Peterson Worldwide how to discuss a range of things, most notably #GKMC. In this clip Giles asks K Dot about any UK influence, then plays him "Higher Ground" by TNGHT and Kendrick wraps it up. You'll hear more of this...
