As 2012 comes to a close, companies all along the board are publishing their lists honoring precocious stars, innovators, and successful business entrepreneurs. Forbes' released its annual "30 Under 30" list that includes hiphop and R&B aficionados, Kendrick Lamar and Drake. The youngsters featured on the Forbes' "30 Under 30" list represent "the entrepreneurial, creative and intellectual best of their generation." While there are the ubiquitous names of business billionaire Mark Zuckerberg, and pop star Lady Gaga, the list boasted a number of hiphop and electronic artists this year. On the [...]
Maryland singer/songwriter Camille Michelle Gray's acoustic version of Kendrick Lamar's "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe" (maybe our favorite track on GKMC) is really really good. The playing isn't 100% perfect, you can tell that this performance was more of a one off, but Camille's soulfulness and the skill with which she interprets Kendrick's intricate lyricism are both of the highest quality. Camille's definitely someone now on the b3 radar. Camille Michelle Gray - Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe (Kendrick Lamar) Camille Michelle Gray [...]

Since Lady Gaga tweeted her praise of Kendrick Lamar, little monsters everywhere knew a collaboration track was in the works. A few days back Gaga leaked the video release of Kendrick's chill track "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe," and I must admit that I'm plesantly surprised how well her voice works.
All new music video for the original version of Kendrick Lamar 's "B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe" single featuring Lady Gaga has just made its way to the internet. Gaga's producer Paul Blair uploaded the music video (which consists of backstage scenes from Lady Gaga on tour in Rio and Colombia) onto his Vimeo account. This version was supposed to be on Kendrick Lamar’s debut album "good kid, m.A.A.d city" but Lady Gaga was understandable not willing to compromise musically to the changes of Kendrick's team was making to her music. “You are the music while the music lasts.” -T.S. Eliot Animal Collective - "Crimson" Apparently recorded in the sessions for Centipede Hz , Animal Collective are dropping "Crimson" as the B-side to their new 123 single of "Applesauce" . It's been a live staple for a while, but the deep, melancholy, Avey Tare sung tune gets even more concentrated in its studio form. It might be a stretch, but the chorus of "I'm sorry I cut [...]

I never got the whole Lady Gaga obsession but that being said after living with my girlfriend for two years and having her listening on the regular I *kind of* do understand it all a little better. Sue me. I was also a little confused when Kendrick Lamar released his album good kid, m.A.A.d. city and she didn't feature considering those two seemed to be the best of friends at one point last year. According to Complex the reason she didn't feature was she didn't get the vocal to Kendrick in time [...]

The Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar collabo talk reach a high point over the summer when Gaga popped up at Kendrick's set during Pitchfork Fest. Despite best efforts, the music part just didn't work out as planned. In a 'show you what you're missing' type of move, Lady Gaga released her demo-version of "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe". The song comes with a homemade video as well, taken from Gaga's time in South America. Peep it below. via ILLRoots

Before Kendrick Lamar released his masterful smart-rap opus Good Kid, m.A.A.d. City last month, much of the scuttlebutt around it revolved around a collaboration with his buddy Lady Gaga, reportedly titled "PartyNauseous." And when the album actually did drop, sans "PartyNauseous," the rumor was that Gaga actually appeared uncredited on the chorus of "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe." That rumor turned out to be false; singer Anna Wise was the voice on the song. Gaga had originally planned to be on it, but she turned in her version of the song too late for [...]

Lady Gaga finally released her collaboration with rapper and buddy Kendrick Lamar: " Bitch don't kill my vibe ". Lamar wanted the track to be on his debut good kid, m.A.A.d. city , which is doing really good, but it didn't work out. Gaga wanted to work with him, but the managers and the team were really working some funny business, so it couldn't go down, she explained. "When I collaborate with an artist I work solely with them, not with their camps or management. Its purely organic and creative. I [...]

In the months leading up to the release of good kid, m.A.A.d city , Internet folk had themselves a ball dissecting and debating on every new piece of information or music to do with the album that eked its way on-line, with the main topic of concern falling on whether or not Kendrick Lamar would ultimately fumble or soar in his transition into the major label leagues. Of the many pre- kid discussions dominating social media outlets, the announcement of a Lady Gaga guest feature drummed up [...]

Imagine if this were on the album? This collaboration was shut down for creative differences but Kendrick decided to release it with his own vocals on the hook for his major label debut good kid, m.A.A.d. city . Now you can hear the original with Lady Gaga on the hook. The best part is she leaked it herself... Earlier in the year, Kendrick Lamar received a lot of attention when Lady Gaga came to see his Pitchfork performance, leading to an announcement that the pair would be working together on a project. Fast forward 5 or 6 months and Lamar goes and releases one of the best albums of the year, sans Gaga. Yesterday we found out why. When speaking with MTV , Lamar explained timing issues had its part to play: "That situation was a deadline situation. We had to meet these pre-orders. I was frustrated [...]
