Since stumbling across David Sides’ awesome Kanye medley some years ago, I’ve developed a penchant for intermittently following YouTube down the road of rap song piano covers. And what Hip-Hop album from the last 12 months is more deserving of a musical homage than Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, M.A.A.D City ? * It’s certainly generated more than enough think pieces as it is. K. Dot’s debut is the inspiration for Canadian musician The Theorist’s latest video – which features piano interpretations for a bunch of GKMC highlights - "mAAd [...]
A new music video from Kendrick Lamar with toys with some comedic and dramatic ideas involving partying, death, violence. There's even a call for the death of Molly at the end of the video. The themes are nice, but it's really the visuals on this video that impress: a somber funeral where attendees are dressed in white, rolling hills behind a beautiful and grassy field, and a funeral procession that looks more like an all-out party. This track comes from Lamar's latest full-length, Good Kid m.A.A.d City , which you can catch a review for below:

To accompany the official edit of Kendrick Lamar 's video for the ballad "B*tch Don't Kill My Vibe", Top Dawg Ent takes the liberty of also making available this slightly-extended director's cut, including around :45 of new music from ScHoolboy Q . The original vid, directed by the Lil Homies and OG Mike Mihail, takes a comical and turnt-up approach to a serious matter, which is revealed towards the very end of the piece as a "Death To Molly" . Really though, the big draw of this director's cut [...]

Clad in all white, Kendrick Lamar celebrates the life of an unknown entity in his latest video for "B*tch, Don't Kill My Vibe." The video's shot with a somewhat soft saturation, matching the song's laidback, sometimes-somber tone. Mike Epps ( Next Friday ) makes a cameo in the video, baptizing Lamar in a pool full of liquor. There's an easter egg at the end of the video, too, so keep your eyes open for that. You can check the video out below.
King Kendrick premieres the video for his latest single "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe." The scenes are simple, beginning at a funeral for a loved one before switching to a burial that turns into a jovial party. I'm going to let someone smarter than myself decide what the Mike Epps, "baptized in a pool full of liquor" and "Death To Molly" screen means.
A belated video treatment for 'Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe', but Kendrick Lamar makes up for it with this cinematic accompaniment. Juicy J and The Hangover actor Mike Epps help Lamar out in the clip, as hip-hop's man-of-the-minute goes from church pews to stretch limos. Watch in full below:

When we first heard “Memories…” , we knew it was a guaranteed hit T.I. hadn't seen since 2009 in Paper Trail . You had the King in Tip, rap’s current golden boy in Kendrick, and the crossover master in B.o.B. But due to the sample clearance being delayed or denied, the track wasn't able to make it on Trouble Man . Still, T.I. pushed on, still made the video, and we can expect the official release on Trouble Man II . The visual, though? It’s exactly what should be expected: [...]
Thought it didn't make the cut of T.I.'s recent commercial release Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head , fans can't help but be glad this track has survived to see plenty of light through today's full video release. "Memories Back Then" features bars from established talents Kendrick Lamar & B.o.B with the harmonious hook provided by songstress Kris Stephen, all behind incredibly smooth production. Miguel is asking a very straightforward question with his new music video for "How Many Drinks?" this latest single lifted from his second album "Kaleidoscope Dream" that was released last year. The rising R&B star enlisted the help of rapper Kendrick Lamar for this official remix that sounds very good. The original was already pretty [...] Miguel 'How Many Drinks?' Music Video Ft. Miguel links up with K-Dot for his live video performances of 'How Many Drinks?' If you haven't already, go out and cop Miguel's Kaleidoscope Dream in stores now! REWIND: Miguel – How Many Drinks (ft. Kendrick Lamar)

Remember on GKMC when the disc's narrator asked Kendrick to make something she and the father could dance to? While he may or may not have accomplished that on his album, K.Dot's definitely got a tune fit for two-stepping with his feature on Miguel's "How Many Drinks?" Both guys are definitely stars on their own, but the song still feels a bit awkward. Things seem to iron themselves out as the record feels better seeing and hearing it performed. If nothing else, the "How Many..." clip's worth the watch if [...]

Miguel and Kendrink Lamar in "How Many Drinks" It would have been the easy, cliche thing to do if Miguel decided to shoot the music video for his new single, "How Many Drinks," in a nightclub. But leave it to Mig Money to think outside of the box. Instead of inviting hot girls to the club to ply them with liquor, the Grammy-winning R&B star seduces the ladies with a sultry, performance-driven clip. Miguel works it under the bright lights of the stage, using nothing but a mic, his band (which includes [...]

The Most Influential Miguel recently recruited Kendrick Lamar for the remix to "How Many Drinks?" . Now, check out its performance-based music video (via Pitchfork ).
Amidst all of the excitement surrounding the new Justin Timberlake album, I completely forgot that Dido's highly anticipated fourth record, Girl Who Got Away, was being released next Tuesday! Whoopsie! While I admittedly wasn't too crazy about 2008's Safe Trip Home (slash I don't remember a single song from the album), this new one actually sounds like it could be more like the old school
