Does this video that Kendrick Lamar 's " Backseat Freestyle ", aka the most hype track on  good kid, m.A.A.d city , is getting the single treatment? I hope so, even though taken out of the context of the album most people won't realize its intention. But hey, maybe they will once they peep these rad visuals and realize it's just Kendrick havin' a good-ass time, acting a fool and spitting bravado over yet another heavy Hit-Boy production.

Kendrick Lamar has been hinting at a short film inspired by good kid, m.A.A.d city . It's unclear if this new video for "Backseat Freestyle" is part of that project, but the self-directed black-and-white clip visualizes many of the album's greatest moments, including Papa Lamar and goddamn Dominoes, the voluptuous Sherane, and scenes straight out of Compton. Rita Ora hit the Highline Ballroom in NYC last night to perform a cover of “Swimming Pools (Drank)” by Kendrick Lamar. Ora was backed by a full band during her live rendition of the Lamars track.

Here's an interesting little clip of Kendrick Lamar shooting hoops backstage at the "Under the Influence of Music" tour stop in Detroit. ScHoolboy Q, Chiddy Bang, and Jay Rock were all present and so was Mac Miller, who can be seen saying, "I'll beat you with one hand, I ain't playing" before Kendrick sinks two more shots. Kendrick Lamar was one of the many performers during last night's Cali Christmas show hosted by Power 106. And to say he owned the damn night would be an understatement. For one, he kicked things off with " Westside, Right on Time ", which absolutely should have been a bonus track on good kid, m.A.A.d. city .
