This Friday I bring you a CRYSTAL CASTLES video I shot from their secret show in LA a couple weeks ago. Alice Glass is one of my favourites to see live so click below and enjoy the show... So, on October 25, the Kia Soul Collective tour (which apparently marries the backwards name for a terrible Georgia alternative rock band from the nineties who are still sort of around today making records and the Korea-born car company known...

I also got the chance to check out the N.E.R.D Show that Kia was putting on for the Soul Collective Series. I Haven't really followed their music, but their show was serious as hell. I've never seen Pharell really bug out on stage. I always see that nigga croonin trying to be Micheal Jackson; Or a Basquiat x Warhol hybrid somewhere. This dude was jumping around and screaming and getting it in on stage. I could respect it. He was doing something totally different than what heads know him for and really did it to the fullest. The whole N.E.R.D [...]

This weekend I took a couple trips to Miami because Kia was hosting an event called "Soul Collective" where they let you test drive their Kia"Souls" and host a bunch of concerts for free. Talk about dope. Cornerstone organized the event and if you know anything about them, they stay super official when it comes to putting events together. One of the shows I got to check out was The Clipse who are always really dope. Those guys have excellent stage presence. Probably one of the best Hip Hop shows in the game. I may catch some serious [...]

This is also the first taste of new music from Monae's epic new album, set for an early 2010 release. [log on to DCtoBC.com to jam it] [...]
