Kanye and his crew closed out SXSW 2011 in Austin, Texas by throwing a surprise concert in an abandoned power plant. It was a fairly exclusive event, in that thousands of people tried desperately to get in, but only a fortunate portion of those people got admitted to the show. Former G.O.O.D. Music emcee Consequence drops the first single to his upcoming release Movies On Demand 3 titled "On My Own" featuring former rostermates KiD CuDi and Kanye West on the beat. It may not be the most outrageous beat from Ye but its still bangin and Cons makes it work with a nice touch from CuDi on the hook. Check it out below.
Consequence has dissolved his relationship with Kanye West saying he wasn't receiving the credit he deserved. [ via ] Well, who cares? "On My Own," is supposed to be an independent anthem, though, it feels extremely ironic. The most interesting part of the track is Yeezy's production, sorry ConTV. He uses his signature sampling cuts, vocal slices and malicious drum patterns. KiD CuDi works the chorus with his man-on-the-moon bravado, though, it makes me wonder if he'll ever rap again.
