Kid Cudi – “Immortal”

Kid Cudi – “Immortal” Kid Cudi  has kept us waiting a long time for his next project,  Indicud,  and we are getting closer to the April 23rd release date. It just so happens that a few days ago he gave us a new single, "Immortal". In this tune Cudi took the MGMT  song "Congratulations", reversed it, sped it up, and then produced the rest of the beats over top of it. This single happens to be more of a  WZRD  sound, or even bares a resemblance to "Ghost!" on MOTM II,  than what we heard on  MOTM.  No need to worry though as it seems [...]

WZRD – Teleport 2 Me, Jamie (Video)

Kid Cudi – Teleport 2 Me Ft. Dot Da Genius (Official Video)

Kid Cudi – Teleport 2 Me Ft. Dot Da Genius (Official Video) I originally heard about a Kid Cudi music video for his single Teleport 2 Me off his last experimental rock/rap album WZRD that he collaborated with Dot Da Genius sometime last year, and have been curious ever since what happened to the lost project. Well tonight the video mysteriously hit the web and I have to wonder, what took so long? The debut of a music video is too far past the song’s original release to spike any extra buzz for the track/cd. So what’s with this leak, and if it is [...]

WZRD – Teleport 2 Me, Jamie (Official Video)

Kid Cudi "Teleport 2 Me"
I made the mistake of watching this far too late at night, and I'm currently tripping balls after a full viewing of the video below. I shouldn't have expected anything other than trippy, psychedelic visuals for this track, but I guess I underestimated the extremity here. In my book, "Teleport ... Read More

WZRD - Teleport 2 Me, Jaime (Music Video)

WZRD - Teleport 2 Me, Jaime (Music Video) Visually, the video is a mindf**k; so I won't bother to explain it. Musically, the track samples the synthpop track "Under Your Spell" by Canadian band, Desire and many will recognize the sample from Ryan Gosling's heist film, Drive (where he beats the living shiznit out of some guy with the heel of his boot). What makes this track a great listen is Cudi's sing-rap (yes, you read correctly) that uniquely fits the acoustics of this track. See for yourself and you'll see what I'm talking about.

KID CUDI X DOT DA GENIUS (WZRD) – "TELEPORT 2 ME, JAMIE" (VIDEO)

Kid Cudi "Teleport 2 Me"
Its been a little over a year since these 2 dropped their collaborative effort under the WZRD title. Today they've decided to liberate a new video for the track "Teleport 2 Me, Jamie". How does the video play out you ask? Well lets see, forests growing in the hall way of an apartment building, pulsating lights in a bed mattress, Cudi playing a guitar shirtless in space. You know, the usual stuff.

Kid Cudi – “Teleport 2 Me” [Video]

Kid Cudi "Teleport 2 Me"
Let's face it, Kid Cudi 's WZRD was damn near terrible. It was a concept album and an attempt at moving in a different creative direction, but in the end it fell well short of the standard Cudi set with earlier releases. Thankfully, the lonely stoner is moving on, but he has one last treat from that dreadful WZRD album to share with us. The visuals to the corny, emotionally driven "Teleport 2 Me". Director Walter Robert makes this silly single resonate with his visuals, adding a ton of stunning effects that actually had me [...]

Kid Cudi Reveals Details on Indicud LP

Kid Cudi Reveals Details on Indicud LP Cudi hopped on his favorite means of communication earlier today to reveal new information on his upcoming LP Indicud.  Cudder stated that he is currently filming a movie, and that when he is wrapped with his film duties he plans on going on tour (seemingly this fall). He also stated the features on his dubbed "A Kid Named Cudi on DMT" LP, those being Kanye, Pusha T, Jaden Smith, Kendrick Lamar, Chip Tha Ripper, and Cage. Cudi also has hopes of linking with Jay-Z, 50 & Lloyd Banks, MGMT, Diplo, and Ratatat. With a rather extravagant list, [...]

Best Songs of 2012 (So Far) #’s 25-13

Allo Darlin' - Capricornia
We're just a few days past the midway point for 2012, the year of our Lord.  It has been a phenomenal year for new music so far and I thought I would take a moment and reflect on the best songs we've been given so far.  This was a hard list to narrow down.  I did rank them in order of greatness, but I spent a lot more time on narrowing it down to the best 25 new songs than I did on the specific order in the list. In order to include more deserving artists on the list, I [...]

Kid Cudi Live @ Sweetlife Festival 2012 (VTT Photos)

Kid Cudi Live @ Sweetlife Festival 2012 (VTT Photos) all photos by Sean Dackermann Performing as a headliner preceding Avicii at Maryland's Sweetlife Festival a couple weeks back, Kid Cudi took the stage to much anticipation. It was a great day thus far, yet the clouds were rolling in, sun was going down, and things were either about to get all the more awesome, or the hangover was coming early. I had several convos throughout the day regarding Cudi and his history of live performances, with the Cleveland kid having [...]

Kid Cudi And WZRD’s “Teleport 2 Me” Video: A Behind-The-Scenes Look

Kid Cudi And WZRD’s “Teleport 2 Me” Video: A Behind-The-Scenes Look WZRD 's "Teleport 2 Me" , which samples Desire's Drive soundtrack jam "Under Your Spell", is getting what appears to be quite a cinematic video. Directing duo Walter Robot explain the making of the visual in a special behind-the-scenes clip: "It's about when [ Kid Cudi ] was on tour traveling and he just really missed his girlfriend, and he would talk to her and wished she could just teleport to him wherever he was." Mirror tricks and skilled camera work are used to create an infinity effect within Cudi's house, [...]

New: Kid Cudi – “Dennis, Hook Me Up With Some More Of That Whiskey!”

Kid Cudi - Dennis, Hook Me Up With Some More Of This Whiskey!
After a largely misguided attempt at rock stardom , Kid Cudi releases a new song that we hope marks his return to pure rapping. "Dennis, Hook Me Up With Some More Of That Whiskey!" (rolls right off the tongue, doesn't it?) is produced by Mescudi himself, showing off a level of sophistication behind the knobs we hadn't seen before. We hope he continues to refine this side of him; as someone on YouTube put it, "this beat is ghost backwards." Word. Continue reading: New: Kid Cudi - "Dennis, Hook Me Up With Some [...]

Escuchá el tema nuevo de Kid Cudi

Escuchá el tema nuevo de Kid Cudi El rapero volvió al rap tras tener un fugaz intento de moverse del eje con WZRD , un proyecto más rockero. Esta mañana apareció  Dennis, Hook Me Up With Some More of that Whiskey!, una canción nueva que vuelve a la temática de rimas psicológicas y violas loopeadas. Album Review: WZRD, WZRD

★1/2 To say this is not Kid Cudi's best work would be generous. When the Brooklyn based, Cleveland born protege of Kanye West first announced that he would be forming an experimental rock band later revealed to be titled WZRD, he was understandably met with skepticism. The last time a high profile rapper attempted to release a rock album was Lil Wayne's ill-advised Rebirth . Kid Cudi's attempt unfortunately misses the target as well, albeit with brief flashes of strength. The album begins with an instrumental “The Arrival”, strings, guitar and [...]
