This post will mainly serve as a public service. We are a quarter of our way into 2012 and we thought "Somebody That I Used to Know" remixes would already be over with. Tiesto has just come out with a new house spin to the track that just feel "alright". At a live show, I am sure the track will reach great feedback since it is always welcome to have indie songs wiggle their way into electronic sets, yet the track 'as is' does not tickle me the way some other renditions have. Perhaps it is just too late for [...]

Alright so some songs are just calling to be remixed, bootlegged, covered, everything. You’ve heard Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ in a million different ways, and today I have the biggest. And normally we are tired and I mean tired of hearing this song remixed just like levels and pumped up kicks but give this a listen before you pass up on it...we almost did. Gotye feat. Kimbra-Somebody That I Used To Know (Tiesto Remix)

(Song Of The Day) Kimbra - Settle Down (Henry Krinkle’s Lush Haus Mix) The gorgeous Kimbra gets the remix treatments from producers extraordinare Henry Krinkle . The track can be found on Herny’s Lush Haus Remix Ep which can be downloaded for free via his bandcamp .

I've got some big news to announce later this week. Something I've never done before in a whole 3 years will finally be happening... Cazzette vs. N.W.A - Straight Outta Compton (Cazzette's Ass Sniffin' Hounds Bootleg) (320 kbps) Madonna - Girl Gone Wild (Dada Life Remix) (320 kbps) Firebeatz - Miniman (Original Mix) (256 kbps) Mark Foster, A-Trak, Kimbra - Warrior (320 kbps) Alex Metric - Rave Weapon (Original Mix) (320 kbps) [...]

A nu-disco Trak with Kimbra & Mark Foster on backups, what a get together. I haven't heard much from Kimbra before, but me like. It's got a hint of that mainstream pop flavor, but with a sass that doesn't sound so manufactured as, say, a Katy Perry. Plus, that Foster support isn't hurting her cause... and A-trak's A+ electro-pop finesse. Kimbra, Mark Foster & A-Trak · Warrior [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Click [...]
Another wild collaboration assembled by the geniuses over at Converse. I don't know if it's possible to not like this song. I can guarantee listening to this jam will improve the quality of your day. Snag the free download via Soundcloud. Tweet
I don't wear Converse. Never have, and probably never will. But they sure have some great ideas over at the shoe factory, teaming up trios of talented musicians for collaborative projects. Sometimes they swing and miss, but the newest offering, "Warrior", featuring Australia's Kimbra, Foster the People's Mark Foster, and A-Trak (Fool's Gold Label owner/DJ), [...]

Well it looks like Converse finally realized that only releasing one song every year for their Three Artists One Song collaboration was ludicrous. The songs were becoming quite the sensation on the internet and with so many different artist combinations out there, the resources are almost endless. For their newest collabo Converse recruited Mark Foster (Foster The People), Kimbra and A-Trak to perform another genre-bending tune just in time for Spring. The result is a fresh new sound as vibrant as Spring-time and a video worthy of the WWF (it will always be the WWF!). [...]
Missy Prince I just got back from my first SXSW, and I'm not sure I will ever be the same. At least, my liver won't. But really, it was my heaven--live music on every block, food trucks galore, and a never ending supply of cute scruffy boys in well-fitting jeans. But while those last two were nice perks, let's talk about the important thing here: the music! I went to Austin with a stacked

(Song Of The Day) Kimbra - “Settle Down”( Henry Krinkle remix preview) Henry Krinkle is currently my favorite producer in the game right now. His music is quite refreshing because everyone else is starting to sound all the same. This track will be appearing on the forthcoming Lush Haus Remixes album.

Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know" is catchy enough with it's simple instrumentation and build-up. 4FRNT remixes this indie jam into an epic electro bash. Try not to get caught singing along. Gotye-Somebody That I Used To Know (Feat. Kimbra) (4FRNT Remix)

Today we bring you some music from down under thats been turned on its head. Melbourne, Australia-based singer Gotye (pronounced Gauthier for some reason) has been steadily rising in the American pop charts thanks to his infectious single "Somebody That I Used To Know" featuring Kimbra . The original track features a gently swinging Brazilian guitar sample and minimalist elements juxtaposed against a passionate vocal anthem lamenting relationships past. This catchy track plants itself squarely inside your brain after only a single listening, pulling you into Gotye's quirky little world. For a wilder ride check out LA-based [...]

So we're way into this. It's dark, it's jazzy, it's got those foreboding garage type tones and of course that great original Kimbra vocal. Let Beni's remix of "Two Way Street" be your 2 AM lights-turnt-way down laptop-noir soundtrack. Kimbra - Two Way Street (Beni Remix) Beni ( Facebook ) Rating 8.1
Set to go on tour across the United States this February, Sydney producer Beni has been kind enough to release his remix of Kimbra's track "Two Way Street" in an effort to promote his "House of Beni" tour, which is appropriately named after his successful debut album . As with most Kimbra remixes, this one latches onto the vocals of the Australian songstress and accompany them with instrumentals that are just catchy enough to get you up and off your feet but don't detract from the inherent beauty that emanates from Kimbra's sultry voice. Stripped-down, complimentary, and captivating, Beni's latest remix [...]
