British jazz-dub-darkwave wunderkind Archy Marshall alias  King Krule (formerly known as Zoo Kid) has a new release out now on Rinse Records. It's a single called «Rock Bottom» (b/w «Octopus»), a  jazzed-out and very energetic song, in which Marshall beside his own lyrics also quotes Mike Skinner / The Streets. Le chouchou de tous les médias musicaux outre-manche mais aussi sur notre territoire, est passé il y a quelques semaines dans notre belle capitale. L'occasion pour nous d'aller voir ce jeune phénomène en chair et en os (surtout en os). After getting a heavy dose of acclaim last year from his debut EP, youngster King Krule returns with a new A side. “Rock Bottom”, shows the UK star add a little more energy to his sound, while still showcasing his trademark deep, accented tones. While we have no idea who the mysterious people are that he’s dedicating this song too, it is a very intimate affair. Still, I hope non-medal placing Olympic athletes are giving this track a go. “Rock Bottom”/”Octopus” split single will be out 9/24 via Rinse.
