Lamb of God Resolution Roadrunner Records 23 January 2012 by Tom Dare Lamb of God appear to have truly made it in the A-League of the metal world. The way you can tell is by the number of people who have either fallen over themselves to froth all over latest album Resolution or taken to the Internet to moan about it. You have to be doing rather well to please/piss off this many people. So who's [...]
Seeing a huge band in a small venue before their new album touring cycle kicks off is the absolute best. Just look at the above photograph of Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe crowd-surfing at the Troc in Philly on January 26th; that kind of intense band-to-audience bond would never happen if the band were [...]
We have reviewed a number of Lamb of God albums on NeuFutur. In the same vein, we have given extensive coverage to the various types of metal. The one thing that we have noticed over the last 13 years of covering these acts is that metal seems particularly prone for bands to come forth with [...]
Let's get one thing straight. Lamb of God have always been a formulaic band. With each record, they've made the smallest evolutionary steps, but none that could be discerned by an onlooker's ear. Despite, or rather because of that, they could ram their way out the underground and become such a massive centripetal force in the metal community. This unlikely rise could be attributed to a lone fact - the template set by Pantera was aped by a million bands at the time, but nobody did it like these guys. Lamb of God were more spiritual successors than clones. They [...]
We like stuff that's a bit different here at Thrash Hits. That's why we do silly things like talking to Devin Townsend about hot sauce and Neil Fallon about beer . So when we got emailed a link to an interview with Lamb Of God's Mark Morton about liking NASCAR, we thought we'd share the video with you. Reasonable. If only Morton liked American Football, we could make a wholly contemporaneous reference to the Super Bowl. He likes NASCAR though. This is a video interview.
Lamb Of God's Resolution charted at number 3 on the Billboard charts this week, with a whopping 52,000 copies sold in the United States in their first week. That is a great number for a heavy metal band. Looking back at their previous release, Wrath, shows that release actually did better, coming in at #2 ...

Mash-ups have obviously been done to death, but every now and then you come across one which works amazingly well, and, well... sheesh. This Lamb of God/Ke$ha amalgamation is one of those things that's so well-done it's hard to believe it's a not a real collaboration between the artists. And I say that as someone [...]

Yes, you heard right, Adele increased her sales by 22% this week. Amazing is an understatement it just never seems to end. The Grammy's are right around the corner and that is just going to spike it more and more and more. Hold on to your knickers. Tim McGraw's people are probably a little ticked off, letsbehonest.com. Top ten below: This Week Sales // Last Week Sales // Total Sales 1. ADELE - 21 115,973 // 95,144 [...]
We're back! January 24th marked the first big release date of 2012, and now the numbers are in for the final first-week tallies. As expected, Lamb of God took the top spot in the Current Hard Music Chart (and #3 overall behind Adele [115,972] and Tim McGraw [67,530]), while Lacuna Coil landed at #2. New records by [...]
On today's Rock it Out! Blog episode I review the new album from Lamb Of God, Resolution . While there's a lot about this album that I like from the singing and the instrumentation, I can't help but shake the feeling that the album is a bit one-dimensional. What are your thoughts on the album?
Axl wore his most vile death metal shirt in an attempt to avoid being selected as a juror in this great City of New York, but lo and behold, his plan backfired and he was chosen anyway. So it's been the Vince party over here since Wednesday with plenty of help from all of our [...]
For the past few years, your best bet to catch Lamb of God has been at an amphitheater or arena on a massive stage on a package tour. But the gods of metal have smiled upon the East Coast as the Virginia band hit six small clubs this month to roll out their speaker-shattering latest disc, ?Resolution.? I was among the lucky thousand or so packed... Read More/Discuss on Metal Underground.com
I haven't really been on board with Lamb of God actively since As the Palaces Burn. I've kept up with them, but after a few spins (especially with their last two albums), I've been disinterested. The familiar Lamb of God sound is there, but the appeal isn't. It's not bad music, just sort of… existent. [...]

By Michel Dussack On September 24th, Lamb of God celebrated the release of their critically acclaimed new album 'Desolation' with a sold out show at the legendary Irving Plaza. While the band could (and should) have played a much larger venue in New York, having such an intimate setting for what was essentially album release show, and only the second stop on the tour, was appreciate by every fan that was able to get tickets to the show, which sold...
Here's when you know that a band has finally "made it": when they've got their own stage carpets, custom-monogrammed with the band's logo, to stomp and spit all over as they play live every night. These are no scrims, props or hanging stage-banners, mind you: only the members themselves and those up in the balcony [...]
The most impressive band in modern American metal delivers yet another solid album to continue their streak of greatness. During the past decade, Lamb of God has become one of the most prolific American metal bands in the world. If not for the realities of time and a flagging music industry, Lamb of God would likely compete with the Big Four (Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax) in terms of popularity. Those two factors are the only things preventing the Virginia-based group from being included with the most famous bands in all of American metal....
Lamb of God's sixth studio album is big on aggression, which is to be expected, but it doesn't exactly bring enough ideas to the table to keep things interesting for me. WATCH THE REVIEW
