Lana Del Rey is releasing National Anthem soon. This is good news because it is brilliant. To commemorate the occasion Lana someone at the label has asked some poeple to remix the song. The first is a noisy affair from West Funk Music. They have made the "making me so wow, wow" bit sound funny. Apparently it is official, but they've spelt Lana's name wrong on their Soundcloud page so we're a bit dubious. And Todd Terry (who we only found [...]

Would you like some new Lana Del Rey remixes while we're all patiently waiting for the "National Anthem" video to drop? The legendary Todd Terry delivers a splendid rework for the summer nights, while Afterlife opts for the afterhours chillout/lounge treatment, which I'm surprised hadn't been done before. The 4th single from "Born To Die" will be released July 8 in the UK. STREAM: Lana Del Rey - National Anthem (Todd Terry Radio Remix) STREAM: Lana Del Rey - National [...]

A bunch of remixes of Lana Del Rey's new single "National Anthem" were leaked today. Todd Terry's Radio remix (above) is probably the better of the remixes, but you can also find DC Breaks' Dubstep remix below along with Todd Terry's dub remix. Not sure on when they'll be released commercially though. "National Anthem (DC Breaks Remix)" "National Anthem (Todd Terry Dub Remix)"

Summertime [...]

David Sneddon and The Nexus' demo version of Lana Del Rey 's National Anthem surfaced online today, along with two other previously unheard tracks. The final version of Anthem slicks up the production value a bit, and i'm glad they went with it for the album. Clips of two other tracks including Ride Or Die (actual track name not confirmed) and Lift Your Eyes. I'd really like to hear the full version of Ride Or Die , the most promising of the lot. Listen below. LIFT [...]

When AllMusic gave Chris Brown's Graffiti 1/5, I bought it anyway, only to regret it 6 mins into the album. Well, here I am, lying in my Princess Tam Tam bikini in some ethereal beach in Dubai, once again, ignoring AllMusic, and giving Lana Del Rey's Born To Die a shot. Call me a philanthropist, but I'm a firm believer that everyone deserves a chance, just like Elena did for Damon in the Vampire Diaries. Sigh...where do I start..."Money is the reason we exist, everybody knows [...]

Tweet I guess the only way to start off what will likely be one of the most read reviews on this entire website is by saying this: Lana Del Rey is not who she appeared to be, and whether that matters or not has become quite the hot topic. In the second half of 2011, a music video made its way on to the internet that not only sent powerful shockwaves through the independent music blogosphere, but drew in one [...]

"Many have already made their minds up on Lana Del Rey and this isn’t the kind of album to change those opinions..." Lana Del Rey | Born To Die It’s been a long time since someone has come around like Lana Del Rey. Someone that divides opinion in the way she does. Someone that people love or loathe. Someone that has confused and confounded in equal measure. Perhaps it is the confusing back story, involving both an extremely wealthy father and a stint living in a trailer park. Or the scrap-that-and-start-again reinvention [...]

Alright, alright — we won't say American Idol judge Steven Tyler's a cappella rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" during yesterday's New England Patriots vs. Baltimore Ravens championship game was horrifying. We'll just note that, based on the reactions coming out of some corners of the Internet , the Aerosmith frontman may have finally taken the heat off poor Lana Del Rey after her divisive SNL performance two weekends ago. Watch Tyler's attempt to make the country proud below, and decide if he should be given a golden ticket [...]

Turns out those clips of Lana Del Rey's Born To Die tracks "National Anthem" and "This Is What Makes Us Girls " that surfaced two weeks ago really were demos. Snippets of the album versions of the two songs have now been added to the divisive singer 's YouTube channel, and you can compare them with what we've heard before below. The funky bass and hip hop drum sample present on the "National Anthem" demo is swapped out here on the final version [...]

Lana Del Rey - National Anthem

Recently, the concluding track to Lana Del Rey’s upcoming “Born To Die” leaked, and not only is it blowing up on the indie blog circuit but it is completely KABOOM-ing my headphones right now. This song… it gives some welcome dimension to her style considering the consistencies between “Video Games” and “Born To Die,” but it does not stray from the Lana we are all willing to admit we’ve begun to covet dearly. “Money is the anthem of success, so put on mascara & your party dress”

Most of this song annoys me... but the hook is so catchy... "Red, white, blues in skies / Summer's in the air and baby heaven's in your eyes." What do you think? MP3: Lana Del Ray: National Anthem

The Interwebs' hottest musical Femme Fatale, Lana Del Rey , must have quite the loose lipped team (pun intended, HAVE YOU SEEN THOSE BEAUTIES? Unanimous winner of Best Lips 2011 by KKS HQ), as leak after demo after leak has hit the net. The latest 'National Anthem' is the first track to really catch me since 'Video Games'. (Sorry Brent please don't beat me!) Her beautiful and unique voice sometimes doesn't seem to fit the tempo of her music, but 'National Anthem' is brilliant. Lana channels a westcoast vibe that takes me back to the days when slow, soulful [...]

As evidenced by my obsessive posting of every single one of her songs I get my hands on, I have a mega crush on Lana Del Rey. She is freaking sexy as hell and can sing. Here’s a new cut, National Anthem. I don’t think it’s as good as some of her others. It’s an interesting song praising money as the anthem of success and reason we exist? While I disagree, it’s a pretty cool track. The beat is awesome to it. Anywho, without further ado: National Anthem - Lana Del Rey
