We at Soundlogik can all agree that 2012 saw the renaissance of almost every genre of electronic music. From speed garage to trap music, EDM from every angle blessed our ears as new young producers jumped onto the boat to not only steer the vector of innovation, but to paint a new destination altogether for themselves. Here, SL takes a tour of our favorite techno tracks of 2012 - ones we felt strayed far enough from the established norm of techno music to incorporate elements from 80s electro, UK funky, and even Chicago house. [...]
Mumbai Science's full frontal assault on your senses continues today with their latest EP 'Unite' and it's the perfect soundtrack for a impending halloween rave. The only original 'Unite' is classic Mumbai; throbbing basslines, clattering drums and scary synths. Shinichi Osawa, on the other hand, delivers a full-throttle warehouse remix which adds even more spice to the original. And last, but not least, there is a remix from Alex Gopher of one of their classic tracks ‘Lotus’. Out Now via Lektroluv [...]

Back in the year 1999 a mere little track called ‘Dooms Day’ by Azzido Da Bass took on a whole new outlook and meaning via the production hands of the legend known as Timo Maas. Since the birth of Azzido’s Original and Timo’s utterly divine remix, a total of 19+ remixes / bootlegs have been crafted and formed because of that Original / Remix alone. Here is just one of them. Boris Dlugosch is a bit of legend in the German scene, his career spans well over 20 years, from the early days of German hardcore to his more recent electro and techno (Complexno?) productions - he's seen, remixed and done it all. He's been hitting the headlines more recently his recent remix work for Gossip's 'Perfect World', Goose's 'Words', and his club hit 'Bangkok' on Erol Alkan's Phantasy Sound label - it's would be safe to say Boris is definitely back. Over the 20 years he's released just over a dozen singles - so you know [...]

I have been awaiting this one! Was a huge fan of Attaque 's releases on the Bad Life label and was pretty excited to see his name pop-up on the Lektroluv label with a brand new ep "Flow". While his previous releases on Bad Life had somewhat of a darker edge these 3 new originals are a bit more light weighted (especially Envelopes). No worries though, it's still IN YOUR FACE! Techno music. Pointing out "Motion" as my favourite on this one. Out on Beatport 18th of June 2012. [...]

Junior is a 23 year old producer/dj from Belgium. He's currently signed at Belgium's finest electro label called Lekroluv. This brand spanking new EP has 2 tracks on it. Really big beats and disco destroyers. Be sure to keep an eye out for him because he's a keeper! Here's a free mixtape he made:

Mumbai Science is the brainchild of two mild-mannered Belgian's Maarten Elen and Jonas Kiesekoms. In a previously life they were scientists and also played together in a rock band, where they covered Soulwax tracks. Now, they are the first in line to be the kings of Future techno. Future Techno is a new off-shoot which it takes the darker, more unhinged sounds found in the basements of Berlin, and combines them with the high-energy and impact of French electro to create Mumbai Science's unique sound. The follow-up release to 2011 anthem 'Lotus' is 'Unified Theory'. Three [...]
Belgium techo duo Mumbai Science will be releasing the first of 3 new EP's next week, called 'Unified Theory'. The mild-mannered duo will explore the subtleties between electro and techno over the course of the next three months in a way that only Belgians can. We've got in-depth interview with the dons of future techno coming with our review next week, but while you wait why not get a bit excited with 'Researchers' which sounds a lot like long-lost De Wale-techno. Out January 9. [...]

There's a reason why Martens (Azzido Da Bass) has been around doing his thing for more than a decade. Guy has skills. This new one from Azzido Da Bass is packed with all the necessary ingredients to get the dancefloor in a frenzy. To think it all started in 1999 when Martens dropped his first single "Dooms Night." It landed in the top ten in UK single chart and sold more than 250.000 copies in total. Now things are coming full circle with the release of "Dooms Day" via the Lektroluv imprint. It kinda reminds me a bit [...]
