Le Noise is another Neil Young masterpiece. I've heard people compare it to On the Beach . I think that's a hard comparison. The albums were made in different times and certainly were recorded in much different periods in Neil's career. Regardless, Le Noise is a great album and recommended. Post Le Noise I have found myself doing a bit of rediscovering of Neil Young's later catalog, taking a particular liking to the 90's Kobain influenced Sleeps With Angels . The album shows a man at his breaking point and a band near its implosion. "Prime of Life" has an eerie groove to it, laced around a feeling of regret.
