On Wednesday, May 8th a sold out Le Poisson Rouge was host to mind-blowing performances by guitarist Rafiq Bhatia and his Quartet, and multi-instrumentalist Colin Stetson. Both bring an unconventional approach to their music, producing sounds uniquely their own pulled from a wide range of genres. Headliner Stetson included compositions off his recently completed, three volume, The History of Warfare, alternating between alto sax and his 103-year-old bass sax on which he employs a circular breath... As mentioned , Marc Maron is taping a new comedy special at Le Poisson Rouge on Monday (4/15) over two performances. Those are sold out , but Marc revealed via Twitter that as a warm-up he'll be performing at Union Hall on Sunday (4/14) at 10 PM. No advance tickets. We're guessing its part of the Creaghead & Company comedy show that happens that night (8 PM, 7:30 doors, $7).
