While Animal City have been jamming around Chicago for years, it's still a difficult task to really categorize their sound. At the band's foundation is ramshackle, mid-902s indie rock. But beyond that, Animal City write more from feeling than trying to live up to some arbitrary sound classification. In the television commercial that's been airing for the past couple of months we witness lots of attractive people, expensive furniture and kittens. The rooms look modern, the scenes follow suit.
