Check out the psychedelic new video for 120 Days' "Dahle Disco", co-produced with fellow Norwegian DJ/electronic artist Lindstrøm. The video was made by Joakim Faxvaag, the band's live visual designer who's been traveling with them around the world several times over for the last three years. New record by Lindstrom is out tomorrow! I was able to get an advanced copy of the record and its good. It is very different than his debut album Where you go I go to released four years ago. Think more synth, funk, sweeping opening film type stuff ("No Release") and almost progressive rock type sounds. "De Javu" still stands out as my favorite track on the record with perhaps "Hina" second. Regardless just like his last album its a journey from beginning to end that begs the listener to join along. Norwegian space-disco king Hans-Peter Lindstrøm has a new album called Six Cups Of Rebel coming next week; we've already posted his track " De Javu ." And in something of a coup, he's recruited a very special remixer to come in and rework the album track "Quiet Place To Live": '70s studio-rock master Todd Rundgren. This hypnotic space disco rework of Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas' for Roxy Music's 1982 song "Avalon" is out today though The Vinyl Factory . The remix is taken from a new 12" single that also features Todd Terje's superb re-edit of Roxy's "Love Is The Drug". We already post it here . Great stuff!

Songs and remixers don't often pair off this perfectly. As a production duo, Norwegian dance dudes Hans-Peter Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas specialize in a luxuriant, champagne-dipped form of exotica-informed space-disco. And Roxy Music's mighty 1982 track " Avalon " feels like the most expensive piece of chiffon-lined synth-rock ever recorded. So, naturally, the new Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas remix of "Avalon" is pretty great. Give it a listen below. Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas have a remix of Roxy Music's track "Avalon" originally released in 1982. A winding spaced out (do they do any other kind?) electronic track. For those that don't know Bryan Ferry headed the band Roxy Music back in the 1970s. You can see a video of Mr. Ferry performing the song live back in 1982 . The Norwegian band 120 Days generated some serious buzz in 2006, when they released a strong self-titled debut full of pulsing krautrock grooves, but they've been largely missing in action since then. The first big tune of 2012 is finally here. "Inspector Norse" is taken from Todd Terje's new EP "It's The Arps" on his Olsen imprint, which drops on January 16th. Amazing. In other news, man of the moment Todd Terje did an epic disco dub rework of Roxy Music's classic "Love Is The Drug" for a new deluxe 12" release from The Vinyl Factory. I've had Twin Sister 's "Bad Street" stuck in my head for the majority of this past summer. I remember strolling through McCarren Park with a friend and going like "I WANT IT BAAAAD I WANT IT BAD" with what I thought was a seductive stare but probably wasn't. "Bad Street" got remixed by Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas (you probably already know what it will sound like) so now it's an 8-minute long disco track.
