The ever-reliable - not to mention one of GFP's favourite festivals - 2000 Trees, has announced a handful of bands that will open the weekends festivities. The fine folks behind Manchester clubbing staple The WareHouse Project will be returning to Manchester's Plattfields in Fallowfield this summer for the third Parklife festival. According to reliable festival trackers Consequence of Sound and as a press release detailing his tour dates confirms, the former White Stripes frontman Jack White will headline the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama on May 18th. The initial lineup announcement for the 2012 Mountain Jam Festival has been revealed and it's impressive. Joining host Warren Haynes and Gov't Mule a top the bill will be Steve Winwood, Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Roots, Ben Folds Five and The Travelin' McCoury's featuring Keller Williams. AraabMuzik is one electronic/hip hop producer that will definitely stand out amongst the DJ's at Coachella . Because while others may spin some records or mix digital tracks, AraabMuzik performs all of his tracks live off of his prized MPC drum machine. As you can see in the video above, his drum patterns are complex and his performance is flawless. We're looking forward to another season at the Hollywood Bowl this summer, and now that the schedule has been released there are plenty of highlights to look forward to enjoying at the outdoor venue. Bloodstock Open Air has added Ancient Egypt-obsessed death metallers, Nile , and historically-extremely-importa nt-although-not-really-as-good -as-they-used-to-be black metallers, Mayhem , to its 2012 line-up. And...errr...that's about it. Both bands are making their Bloodstock debuts, and both bands are going to be UK festival exclusives for Bloodstock this year, but then again we doubt there were many other festivals fighting to be first ones to knock either band's booking agent's doors.
