Indie folk artist Maria Taylor has been singing since she was 15 when her first band, Little Red Rocket, released two ill-fated albums on Geffen Records. The group called it quits when Geffen merged with Universal to create a gigantic, worthless record company. Taylor packed her bags, moved to Athens, GA, and tried her luck at a solo career.
