Big K.R.I.T. - Live From the Underground Def Jam: 2012 It seems strange now that when Big K.R.I.T. released his critically acclaimed K.R.I.T. Wuz Here mixtape a little over two years ago, both the bloggerati and Beats-adorned backpack kids alike were declaring the Mississippi MC/producer the new rap savior of the South. This was, of course, in the wake of the tragic death of Pimp C and T.I.’s imprisonment on gun charges and inside the vacuum of space created by a collective anticipatory holding-of-breath for Big Boi’s long-delayed solo album [...]

Big K.R.I.T. comes through today with some southern charm by way of "Thank You Kindly". Serving as an ode to his ever-growing fanbase and network of artists, the track gives praise to those who have ever shown love. The track comes shortly after the full-length debut, Live From The Underground , which is already being hailed as a top hip-hop release for of 2012. The song isn't groundbreaking or anything, but it makes you feel pretty good inside if you've actually supported this man for the past few years.
IT'S FESTIVAL SEASON PEOPLE! That means that tomorrow Thursday the 14th 'til Saturday the 16th I will be down in the deep woods of Hultsfred (where I actually grew up) and cover the 26th edition of the Hultsfred Festival. Personally for me, festivals aren't about watching all the grand major acts that are to drunk to stand up straight cause they actually stopped giving a fuck years ago as long as they get their grand gage, no festivals are about exploring new acts. You know, the old school version of dive into unexplored music pre music blogs. I [...]

Check it out on iTunes and buy it if you'd like to keep your iPod up to date. Curren$y - Chasin' Papers (feat. Pharrell) (Prod. The Neptunes) [...]
