Originally released in 1957 credited to Thunderwords, this record was re-released in 1963 with the label credit you see here. Not to be confused with Rockin' Sidney. Nice Louisiana rockabilly sounds. When this debut single by Louisiana-born John West first began making the blog rounds last spring, "How Robin Thicke of him" was the main consensus in feedback, the song's lush R&B flutter and West's laidback, white soul chops making the comparisons damn near unavoidable. Electro pop from New Orleans led by the smoky and sultry voice of one Meg Roussel, Big History are pretty amazing in context of how much Adele is really soaring these days, and while one opts for big pop productions and more soul than anything, one certainly makes her way toward the disco ball instead. Skyward Invalid Everything about Julianna Barwick's music is just right. Mostly comprised of loops of her searing distant voice, its occasionally joined by clunky yet perfectly on-form piano, and quiet guitar. It all sounds very considered and ponderous, but it's finely-tuned and precise.
