Wow.. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis just let loose the cinematic masterpiece that is the newest music video for their single "Can't Hold Us (Ft. Ray Dalton)" . This follows up their mainstream media breakthrough with Thrift Shop which has been in the top 40 for over 25 weeks. This video shows that nothing can hold Macklemore and Ryan Lewis back, and they are more then ready to take over the rest of the world. Wings is a great track from Macklemore and Ryan Lewis that’s also been featured by the NBA recently… Better said, a sample/re-edit of Wings is used by the NBA. The song itself is about commercialization. Macklemore recently took to Twitter to shout back at hecklers calling him a sellout for having let the NBA use the song. Seemed like just yesterday when I was watching Ben Haggerty aka Macklemore and Ryan Lewis perform at Kirkland Pub for free. Well since the release of his new album The Heist he has blown up. Recently he sold out Wamu theater which is pretty impressive for an independent artist. I got the album and it is one of those albums that grows on you song by song.
