SXSW is upon us again this year, with thousands of musical artists and professionals networking in the heart of Austin, TX. For the first night of the Warner Sound showcase, Warner Music Group and Nikon have teamed up to bring you Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Action Bronson and Rockie Fresh, in addition to Icona Pop, Blondfire, Charli XCX and Sirah, to perform at The Belmont. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have had one hell of a year. Not only did their album hit number #2 on the billboard charts, but Target and Walmart have decided to carry the album nationwide. To add to this great year, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis hit the stages of Jimmy Fallon for the first time and perform their single, "Thrift Shop", featuring Wanz and a little help from the Roots. Wow. What a powerful statement from Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. No matter your stance on the issue, you have to agree that this is a pretty amazing piece of music and cinematography. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on this as a political issue, but there is no argument when it comes to this as music and art.
