Photo by Collier Schorr Lissy Trullie - "Madeleine" A lullaby of a tune, swaddled in a soothing pool of shoegaze atmospherics, hiss, and white noise. It's dreamy and rather seductive with its wistful air and Trullie's rich, sultry voice. She exudes confidence, but also comes off as somewhat shy, which only builds intrigue. Quietly gorgeous, warm, and soulful. "Madeleine" is from Lissy Trullie's self-titled debut LP, out March 2012 via Downtown Records. The album was produced by [...]

It's been a long wait for Lissy Truillie 's full-length debut. Her EP "Self-Taught Learner" was released just in time for her to be grouped in to the batch of notable females linked to fashion such as Little Boots, Ladyhawke and La Roux's Elly Jackson in 2009. But unlike the other three, Trullie will be the first one to come back in full force. Her self-titled album produced by John Hill (Santigold, M.I.A., Shakira) and Dave Sitek (of TV on the Radio) is slated for a March. 6 release via Downtown Records (the same people who re-released her EP [...]
Mit einem Lied von Lissy Trullie entlasse ich Euch heute in die Nacht. Nein, eigentlich ist es so, dass sie Euch begleitet und sanft in den Schlaf singt. Download: Lissy Trullie / Madeleine Hervorragend produziert haben das John Hill (Santigold, M.I.A., Shakira) und David Sitek (TV On the Radio). Mehr Lissy gibt es in ihrem Zuhause .
Lissy Trullie, 'Madeleine' Next spring, Lissy Trullie will finally build on the promise of her 2009 debut EP, Self-Taught Learner , with a full-length, self-titled set produced by John Hill and TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek. Here's our first taste, "Madeleine," a Holly Miranda -by-way-of-Velvet Underground slow-burner with shades of last year's "Pale Blue Eyes" cover from the Kills. You can grab the MP3 over at RCRD LBL and stream it above. Update: As it turns out , the aforementioned Holly Miranda is on backing [...]

[mp3] Lissy Trullie: "Madeleine" It's been too long since we've heard from the excellent songwriter Lissy (not Lissie) Trullie. After a series of great singles, a hit Hot Chip cover and a stellar EP, Trullie today released the new single "Madeleine" from her forthcoming self-titled debut for Downtown out March 6th and produced by John Hill (Santigold, M.I.A., Shakira) and David Sitek (TV On the Radios, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Liars). While "Madeleine" is not as sharp and edgy as we expected from Trullie, it's melodic and rich in texture with [...]

Another great track sent our way is "Madeleine" from NYC artist Lissy Trullie . Her as yet untitled debut album produced by the guys behind Yeah Yeah Yeahs, M.I.A., Santigold and TV on the Radio will be seeing the light of day in March 2012 , but this first single is a great teaser! A groovy, downtempo/distortioned beaut that sounds like it could have come straight out of a Velvet Underground session from the 60's. Check it out below and if you [...]
Sophie Madeleine and Liam Blake cover Del Shannon's 'Runaway' on guitar and ukulele.
We may associate the comeback to school with many things: professor, recreation, punishment, etc. But there is one moment that we regret in particular: snacking! Here is a typically French receipe, which will certainly create a desire to take a break around 16:00. IGREDIENTS : 225 g of flour, 175 g of [...]
The brightest, kindest souls are those attracted to the Ukulele; the instrument with the happy sound. Sophie Madeleine is a Brighton artist with one such soul. Her voice is pleasantry auralized, and her sense of musical style she uses it in is wonderfully unique. Paired together, you'll be gently wrapped in warmth by her [...]
"Get together: This is the simple and direct message of the fourth CD on 3000 Records, a motto that unites local artists from Mecklenburg with internationally renowned ones. The CD takes up the idea of the annual KOMMT ZUSAMMEN festival in Rostock and that is why it goes far beyond the scope of a classical [...]

Ukulele songstress Sophie Madeleine first caught our attention a few years ago when she released some sweet and catchy songs on youtube. Following her wonderful debut LP, Love. Life. Ukulele (2009), we lost track of Madeleine for a while. Now she is back with a new album The Rhythm You Started and to celebrate the release she has recorded a cover song (requested by a fans) each day for thirty days. The project just wrapped so you can watch all thirty cover videos HERE .

Hailing from Berlin, Madeleine Bloom is a self-described "musician, producer, singer, looper, mediadesigner, a bit of a tech nerd". Often compared to such visionary artists as Björk, Kate Bush or Imogen Heap (with whom she actually shared stage), Bloom is a true multi-instrumentalist who likes to translate her emotions into a very personal blend of highly cinematic chamber electropop. Last November, she released her debut album, Minutia , an eclectic collection of impassioned songs made of piano, mbira, upright bass, cello, strings, harps, ticking clocks, underground sounds, water, paper, coffee brewing, [...]
For almost 25 years, John Andrew Fredrick and a revolving cast of characters have been issuing records as the Black Watch. The California-based indie-rock institution is back with 11th album Led Zeppelin Five (Powertool), and it's the first LP to feature the rock-solid lineup of Fredrick, guitarist Steven Schayer (ex-Chills), bassist Chris Rackford and drummer [...]
Sophie Madeleine - The Rhythm You Started Now a days, careers are launched via the internet: Myspace and Youtube are the stages. It seems that amazing artists are getting record deals every day. That's why I find it so incomprehensible that Sophie Madeleine, with a couple of videos topping 200,000 views, is still unsigned. Sophie Madeleine has an indie folk sound and I can't resist her lovely voice with her un-ironic accompanying ukulele. This song has more of a pop-influence than the other sounds on her self-produced albums, Love. Life. Ukuele and The Rhythm You Started [...]
