OK, so this is probably the coolest music-related thing you'll see all day. Dutch producer BINK put together this killer video shot and edited by PIMB favorite Arts the Beatdoctor that serves as a tribute to Madlib . As you'll see in the clip, it features BINK building the entirety of Erykah Badu 's "The Healer", off New Amerykah Part One (4th World War) , piece by piece. It's truly stunning to watch it all come together and I'm hoping this is the first in a long line of videos like this. You can [...]
Today, MED and Blu present their new video for the Madlib produced track "Burgundy Whip," a song that popped up just a few weeks ago. This trio is what hip hop is all about -- good vibes. In the visual we find MED and Blu out by the beach spittin' their bars and keeping things chill. It's exactly what you'd expect to see to such a feel good hip hop tune. You can snag The Burgundy EP out now via Stones Throw . [...]

It's produced by Madlib—like every other cut on the EP except for one—and soundtracks a day spent cruising around in, well, a burgundy whip. The video was directed by Paul Demont and features work from PIMB favorite RUFF MERCY . You can watch the video below and purchase the EP here .

First, there’s “Kneecap Jelly,” the second single and video from Georgia Anne Muldrow‘s Seeds album with Madlib a bold stand-out release from the year past. And to go along with it, there’s “Poet” the latest from Declaime‘s 2011 Self Study album, which was of course produced by Georgia as well. [...]

Pitchfork's Selector series continues today, with one of the most exciting installments to date. While most Selector episodes are mostly about the raps, we find out a ton here about what Freddie Gibbs has coming up as far as projects go. The most intriguing of which would be Cocaine Piñata , the collaborative album between Madlib and Gibbs. After the discussion, we are blessed with a rap over an Erick Arc Elliott beat, which he chooses over one by Keyboard Kid. Check out the video below and let us know what you think.
Madlib Invazion is producer Madlib’s proprietary independent record label. He incorporated the imprint in late 2009 to release his Madlib Medicine Show musical series. With no preconceived notion as to what the series might become, Madlib would eventually create thirteen albums (now packaged as The Brick) and several other limited-edition vinyl releases. He has since produced shows worldwide under the Madlib Medicine Show banner and develops each of his projects under Madlib Invazion. The Madlib Medicine Show experiment opened the doors for the producer’s [...]
