2013 certainly seems to be a year chock-full of eagerly awaited album releases with Daft Punk releasing Random Access Memories in May and Disclosure's debut album, Settle , coming in June. Before these two, we're treated to the release of Major Lazer's second album, Free the Universe . Free the Universe is the first album from Major Lazer since Switch left the group for "creative differences". Since then, Diplo has fully [...]
Luego de su presentación en Buenos Aires , Diplo se subió, junto a Jillionaire, al escenario de Late Night With Jimmy Fallon con Amber Coffman de Dirty Projectors, the Roots y Dave Longstreth para interpretar Get Free . Mirá este explosivo show, acá. Major Lazer estuvo en la Argentina el pasado 5 de abril en el Planetario. Asímismo, el productor del sello Mad Decent realizó un DJ set el mismo día a la medianoche en MSTRPLN. [...]
You know when you hit saturation point with that one song? You've heard it so many fucking times over – you know its every lyric and every intricate inflexion thereof; you can reproduce its slick lick round the back of your brain; know, and so too fear the exact second it'll end. That is, or rather was where I was at with Get Free – I foolishly believed I could immaculately reproduce Amber Coffman's elastane vocal; redo her squiggly guitar part, and as such I needed something; anything to rejuvenate the adoration. And one might set about questioning how it [...]

Major Lazer swung by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night to perform "Get Free" and promote their new album Free The Universe. Love the live performance with The Roots and Amber from Dirty Projectors, but I'd have a tough time explaining what Diplo and Jillionaire are doing up there the entire ... Read More
I know we don’t have to tell you who Diplo is. Our older family members know who Diplo is. And you all know someone who’s has a picture twerkin’ and expressing themselves . He’s made music with everyone from Tiesto to random dancehall artists and leaves a trail of sweaty bodies and shaked out booties wherever he goes. DJ GQ is a party starter and studio monster and you already know he produces songs for the biggest names in pop music in between turning nightclubs into hedonistic, free-for-alls, and making documentaries about the [...]
Major Lazer ft. Chronixx – Where I Come From (Get Free Rhythm) It doesn’t matter what type of music you support, I think we can all admit that Major Lazer’s ‘Get Free’ was a class act. A defining song of 2012, Diplo and co. really gave us a newfound appreciation for their sound. We can now say with confidence that this new rework featuring Chronixx is actually better than the original. Better yet it’s also free… everybody wins. This is your track for the weekend. You’re welcome.
Can definitely get behind the name Chaz Fuego. Not sure why, it just rolls off the tongue. Chaz Fuego. So easy. So smooth. Chaz Fuego is a self-proclaimed "Houston kid making music to live to, love to, celebrate to, think to, create to and most importantly lose yourself & find ... Read More

The Jam Jar , a brand new feature we’ll be rolling out every Wednesday going forward. The concept is pretty straightforward, each week we’ll add a new collection of indie-dance, house, and nu-disco style jams to the jar – the kind of tunes that carry you off into sun-filled daydreams, that are packed full of funky beats and deep basslines, and that most importantly make your day a more enjoyable one. And we're back! Our third installment of The Jam Jar series brings you an irresistible line-up of fresh tunes that will have your feet moving of their own [...]

"Years after the zombie apocalypse ravaged the galaxy; Major Lazer [...]
Last week we featured EDM newcomer ARESS and his " Get Free " remix that took us by surprise. We're back another one from the man today, an original titled " Wired " that's very deep and a bit erotic. This one comes off his forthcoming EP and is available as a free download for now. Check it out below and be sure to pick up that download before it's gone.
Our new friend ARESS from Australia has taken the now hugely popular " Get Free " and given it a bit more of an upbeat feel. Our favorite elements of the original are still intact, but some heavy synthesized sounds and a thumping one-two has been added to perhaps serve a different purpose on the dancefloor. Grab it below and be on the lookout for more from ARESS here soon.
Crib Cab has found a unique lane after linking with Wyclef and Pharrell in the early stages of his career, Cab has formed a solid fanbase that will only continue to grow. Today he releases of cover to what I think is Major Lazer's best song to date. Look for this kid in stadiums sooner rather than later.
Después de su excelente-va-para-canción-del -año primer sencillo " Get Free " y de retrasar la salida de su nueva producción. Major Lazer nos presenta un nuevo sencillo "Jah No Partial" con la colaboración de Flux Pabilion. Enjoy.

Major Lazer - Get Free feat. Amber Coffman
Major Lazer feat Amber Coffman of Dirty Projectors - Get Free This song. That voice. Ugh. Swoon. I realize this isn’t the updated official video but I prefer this one, personally.
