On February 26, 2012, Collins’ paper airplane design “Suzanne” was thrown 226 feet and 10 inches, breaking the past record. In the segment, he shows off some of his cool trick paper airplanes. In a recent episode of “Man at Arms”, master blacksmith and prop maker Tony Swatton did a brilliant job of recreating the deadly batarang weapon that Batman used in The Dark Knight film trilogy. He built the batarang from scratch at his Sword and Stone shop in Burbank, California.

Indiana artist and sculptor Gabriel Dishaw has built an awesome Star Wars Darth Vader helmet ($800) completely out of recycled typewriter, adding machine and computer parts. The artist writes, “My passion for Star Wars and one of the baddest villain of all time has carried over to my upcycled art. The forth and final retrospective post looking at the life of 2UIBestow focuses on 2011 which I'd consider the best year for the blog. It had regular 'Amhrán Gach Lá' posts which means music every day in Irish and the profile incresed to the point where viewer figures reached a daily figure of a 1000. Last year I got to Glastonbury due to my involvment in judging for Glastonbury's Emerging Talent Competition and it was awesome. Vantastival year two was great while Cork XSW with Patti Smith headlining was a real highlight of the Summer 2011. [...]
I've spent the weekend listening to, and completely enjoying, MAKE 's new mostly instrumental 3-song EP, "Axis." The first song, also called "Axis," sets the standard for the EP. At a whopping 17:01, the song builds slowly from a searing, electric drone, eventually forming a crushing, almost Eastern-sounding melody. The band runs through crushing, psychedelic sludge with the second song, "Chimera," then winds down, ending with a quiet piano melody on "The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters."
